Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe plastic drainage mat in the shower was broken which was annoying to stand on. I found the lack of a safe and need to turn in our key for the room cleaning strange, but we just made sure to not leave any valuables and it was a non-issue.
Location is fantastic, and the private room was exactly what we needed. It's no frills but there was air conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the street, and the en suite bathroom was clean. I can't speak for the shared dorms.

IrelandThere are no hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes, so you have to leave them beside the sink. Recommendation: 1- bringing a pillowcase from home to cover the existing ones for better hygiene. 2- if you have a light sleep bring ear plugs, since you can hear People getting out in the morning. 3- Bring your own shampoo. Keep in mind that they clean the room in the morning so you need to leave them the room key. I still rate it 8.5 out of 10.
The location is simply perfect, you can arrived at any place by foot, they clean every day the room, all the staff are really nice People, they allow us to leave our baggage after the check out, there was air conditioner wich helped me to sleep better, and despiste we shared bathroom, we never met any People, toilet were clean all the time.

United KingdomWe stayed in private/family room and for us Nothing is to be NOT liked to be honest, but just a few suggestions to make it even more comfortable - bathroom was extremely small and congested. It NEEDS to be a little bigger. Anyone who's a little big would find it very uncomfortable to manoeuvre inside. Also, the kitchen can have a kettle. It would just make it more helpful. Everything else was great.

The property was located centrally near most of the main touristic attractions. It was very easy to get to and travel from within walking distance. Very good area. The room was clean and they were cleaners cleaning througout the day which made it enjoyable to stay.

FranceNo elevator, not a problem for us but good to be aware of. There isn't aircon but windows open was nice BUT the street is very noisy.
The staff was considerate, friendly, welcoming and helpful!!! The room is simple but comfortable. The location was nice too. For Paris, the price and what you get was really exceptional.
