The check in was difficult, if you are there before 9 am you are not going to find anybody there and the gate will be close. The building has more than one hostal and is not well identified. The sign said we have to go to the second floor and once there said we have to go to the first floor, very confusing.

No window to open, no natural light. Very old lift that you have to open gates and shut doors. Person giving out room card didnt speak any english at all - did not give us wifi code or tell us about check-out

We were disappointed at how basic the property was for the price. The photos make it look like a boutique hotel but it really is a basic hostal; our bathroom’s sliding door did not close all the way. However, it is clean with air con, ironing board and kettle and had what we needed for the few nights we stayed.

Location was excellent, a few steps from the Plaza Santa Ana with loads of lovely bars and restaurants. Most of the central Madrid sights are in easy walking distance. The hostal is on the 2nd floor with a small lift and good security. The rooms are along a corridor and ours looked out onto a small back area so there was no view and it was a little dark, but it was REALLY quiet which was much appreciated in such a central location. Everything was freshly decorated and very clean.

The fan in the bathroom was making a rattling noise while turned on. You could hear the people who opened the main entrance door in the evening.

Maybe you can arrange something with the tv as not all guests can understand Spanish. Maybe it's time to have a smart tv. And a coffee machine will make it perfect 😊

Although the bathroom was a good size, the shower wall was dirty. It had some black mold on the base of the crystal wall. Not that you had to touch it or stand on it for a shower, but it looked like it had been there for a while.

The location was excellent. Close to bus stops, metro stations, and many interesting tourist places, restaurants, convenience stores, and pretty much anything you might want or need. The building was nice, and the old but working elevator was a unique touch. The room was spacious, with several appliances like a TV, coffee machine, air conditioning, ironing machine, and a little fridge.

I loved the location near heart of the city, 10 mins walk down to the plaza mayor. Staff Marlon is accommodating. We always used their 80yrs old elevator, nice, room is big for 3 of us.

Very central, felt safe traveling alone. Staff spoke english. Quite even though central. You get exactly what you pay for! Easy access and help with taxi service to airport.

The location was within walking distance of all the visitors' historical sites. The metro was close by to travel to other parts of the city. We found excellent restaurants in the heart of the city.

The room was very small, more adapt to one person rather than 2 - it seemed to be the only small one on the floor, and pictures online were clearly of the other rooms and not ours. There was a kettle in the room with some tea, but no coffee and kinda no space to even sit to have a hot drink in the morning. There was no safe in the room either, we told the reception but nothing was done on that regard - just mentioning these things as they were listed among the room features but missing.

Location is great, the hostel is located a few minutes walk from all major points in Madrid. Despite being on a very busy road, the room was very silent at night which is great. Rooms were cleaned daily to fairly good standard. Bed was comfy!

We had to pay 5 euros for leaving our luggage after checking out. I've never seen that again.

Very spacious room in a very central location. Staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Perfect value for money option.
