Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThere was a huge influx of arrivals on Sunday (even on Saturday, but Sunday was simply impossible) most by one huge group associated with a company (Herbal something) that apparently booked the entire hotel, flooded the very large main lobby with their luggage and the long lines they formed, and demanded exclusivity(!), devouring space, resources and staff attention away from the regular guests - many of us repeat-customers. Their swarming everything was a strain for the other guests, and obviously even more so for the staff.
Above all, the staff, in particular Ezequiel and the rest of the staff in the children's playroom. The outside swimming pool by the breakfast area was heated, which was an important plus, since the weather unfortunately was not nice that weekend.

SwitzerlandDespite the abundance of restaurants within the complex, the quality of the food was merely average. What truly stood out, however, were the unjustifiable drink prices for guests not on the all-inclusive package. It was astounding to find them more expensive than in Switzerland, especially when identical drinks were available for a third of the cost right outside the complex.
We found a fantastic array of entertainment options. Our child loved the kids and teens club, along with the football and basketball fields, mini golf, and the lively heated swimming pools with DJs. For us, the rooftop bar was a highlight, the live concerts each evening were wonderful, and the sports bar was ideal for watching Champions League matches.

United StatesWear and tear on door and mirror. Few cockroaches outside at night.
Great place to chill by the pools/drink and have evening entertainment with bars and live music. Good options for the entire family for all-inclusive buffets.

LithuaniaWhat we really didn’t like was the service at the restaurant. It felt strange and frustrating to walk into a nearly empty buffet restaurant and be insistently told where to sit. I prefer to look around and choose a table myself. We also had a negative experience when trying to order drinks—we had forgotten our bank cards and asked to charge the drinks to our room, but the waitress said it wasn’t possible. This was confusing, as my card had already been registered at check-in for potential charges. Another thing that bothered us was how often the staff interrupted our meals to ask about drink orders. It felt intrusive rather than attentive. On top of that, the drink prices at the hotel are extremely high—two or even three times more expensive than in town. In the evenings, the hotel hosts live music, which is a nice idea, but during our stay, the entertainment consisted mostly of 80s music. It would be great to hear something more current and varied, as the program seemed clearly aimed at a much older audience.
We stayed in the Silver apartments, and the room was truly excellent. The hotel responded to my request and gave us a room on the 9th floor with a stunning ocean view. The room had a large terrace, all the 5-star amenities, and even a jacuzzi 😊. The hotel has several swimming pools, but we actually enjoyed spending our time by the ocean even more. On the positive side, the food at the restaurant is varied and delicious. In the evening, you can enjoy fresh seafood, ice cream, and excellent desserts. On a more positive note, there is a fantastic rooftop terrace on the 16th floor with a bar and a DJ in the evenings. The atmosphere there is great and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. It was a fantastic experience!

United KingdomNot HRH fault but when booking at .com we did enter Costa Adeje and the HRH was included in this area. We didn’t do our research so didn’t realise where it is located. HRH isn’t in Costa Adeje main seaside town area and there isn’t much near the HRH. This could have been an issue as we didn’t want to just stick to the hotel for a week. We did however hire a car and saw the beautiful island that Tenerife is and it is a stunning island of diversity and microclimates that shouldn’t be missed. We did also walk from HRH to Costa Adeje and then Playa de las Americas which took us all day there and back but was a great hike. Not the best location, but worked out well for us in the end. Great stay!
HRH is a superb hotel - we were upgraded on the day and the room was stunning and large. We had breakfast included and was exceptional - everything you could wish for and more - something for every taste. The hotel is beautifully designed and has something for everyone. Special thanks to Julianna

SpainI so much love the warm. Welcome that will received from the guest service. I took my wife on a surprised trip there for our 8th wedding anniversary. And it turned out to be the best choice. Ainhoa from the guest service really helped out to see that we enjoyed every bit of our stay .

IrelandThat said, we did notice a couple of areas that could be improved. The sofa bed in our suite was quite uncomfortable and made noise with the slightest movement, which affected the sleeping quality for those using it. Also, the room cleanliness could have been better, especially for a 5-star standard.
We had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife and truly enjoyed our time there. We booked a Rock Suite Diamond and were impressed by the spaciousness and layout of the room. The view from floor 11 was absolutely stunning – waking up to that ocean panorama each day was a highlight. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit all tastes, and the heated pools were a great touch, especially for relaxing afternoons. A very special thank you goes to Alexandru at the front desk – a true professional, always attentive, helpful, and ready with a smile. He made our stay smoother and more enjoyable. Alexandru is definitely someone who represents the spirit of hospitality and guest care at its finest! Thank you again, and we look forward to returning in the future.

United KingdomThe room is not ideal for 2 adults and 2 children and the sinks are inside the room and you can't do your evening routine when children are asleep without disturbing anyone, as it's open space. The toilet door not locking is very uncomfortable. The service is very poor and slow everywhere across the hotel, the personnel is not motivated to be fast. During Easter week there were massive queues at breakfast time. The hotel allows everyone to play with balls in the swimming pools so we were hit in the head multiple times by other children. The hotel doesn't have its own beach, only public beach nearby which is a few steps away.
Amazing rock concerts every evening with very talented singers, we even had a huge Children of the 80s disco outdoor concert during our stay and both teens and kids clubs were open until midnight to allow parents to go. Swimming pools with warm water, great choice of food at breakfast and generally very delicious restaurants everywhere. Great kids club for both little ones and teens, our daughters were 10 and 6 years old and enjoyed it a lot. Older one made a lot of new friends. Great location close to a shopping centre and many local restaurants to eat if you want a change. Very clean rooms. Great pillows and mattress on the main bed.

United KingdomThe hotel is in a very quiet area so only ideal if you want to stay at the hotel all day and night unless getting taxis which cost a fair bit and a way to travel.

United KingdomWith the exception of the breakfast, which was very good, the food was just okay in the restaurants. It was very expensive for what it was. The location is not the best if you like lots to do. You would need taxis or a car to get to places that are a bit more lively. The housekeeping for our room was a bit erratic. The jacuzzi bath wasn't cleaned properly; the milk and coffee wasn't always replaced and one of the days they took our bath towels away without leaving us any clean ones. Some of the staff at The Splash Bar let them down a bit. Service was slow and a lot of people were not getting their correct orders. A couple of the staff were quite rude. It wasn't the end of the world but seemed a bit of a shame when other areas of the hotel were being run really efficiently with friendly and helpful staff.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everywhere was kept clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet had an incredible amount of choice and was very well organised considering the number of people using it in the mornings. The room was very well appointed with impressive views of the sea. It was always possible to get a sunbed by one of the pools despite the hotel being 95% full. Enjoyed the spa.
