Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomThe hotel location and pool were stunning but the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Esther, Victoria and Tiago especially were so friendly and attentive and really made our stay extra special. They are a credit to the hotel! Will be back.

SwitzerlandSome rooms are quite old and tired with some problems: we could smell humidity from the walls. Not so many amenities as you would expect in a resort of this caliber. Feels slightly overpriced if you look at 5* competitors on the island
Fantastic views from hotel and room. Helpful staff. Very nice pool area and restaurant with great food.

The views are amazing… some of the best we’ve seen on the island but the property itself is tired and in need of major investment to bring it up to what they claim is a 5 star. The entire decor of our room was shoddy with light switches covered in paint and unfinished skirting boards, one of which stuck out from the wall and looked hazardous. I have seen complaints regarding cleanliness but I must add our room, sheets and bathroom was. A major gripe was that when we booked I’d stated two adults and one child ( myself, my 23 year old daughter and my youngest at 16). On checking in we were advised that my youngest would be classed as an adult and so would have to have a bed made up in the room at a cost of 187 euros per night. This bed was smaller than a single bed and not at all comfortable. I struggled to comprehend that, even if we were a family of two with one child, we would be made to sleep in one bed. It’s also off the beaten track so once you’re there, that’s it. The nearest town for anything you might need is a taxi ride away so if you’re not completely happy with the food served here, you’re stuffed. Myself and my two daughters went for a break last week, one of which is vegan and I have a gluten intolerance. We found the food very limited and sadly had a server at their only restaurant who was very curt when we asked if anything from the menu could be modified. We cut short our planned four day stay and checked into another actual 5 star hotel on the island. I must add the reception staff were excellent, Lara especially, very accommodating and thankfully didn’t charge us for the remaining days.

CanadaDuring our whole stay, there was a constant noise coming from above us. we had a pool deck above our room and it sounded like chairs were screeching over the floor and there was constant hammering between 4am and 9am. We did call the front desk about this and they told us they’d look into it. They called us back saying they couldn’t find anything so we just dealt with the noise for the duration of our stay. Service was good, it is a 5 star hotel, but I wouldn’t say it’s 5 star service.
Great location if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday away from the Ibiza strip. Beautiful hotel with an amazing view. The staff were friendly. i’m happy we stayed here instead of close to Old Town. It’s a short drive to the clubs if you want to go. There was some food options nearby.

United KingdomWe had some quite significant issues with our room (room 216) on arrival which included: - Black mould on shower head - Dirty curtain rail - Coffee stains on bedside table - Air con filter needs changing - Stains in jacuzzi bath - Scruffy doors We mentioned this to the reception staff on our way out to dinner, who told us, they couldn’t help us and asked me to send a WhatsApp Message to the hotel business WhatsApp account. This felt very odd, as a paying guest, I would at least expect a member of the hotel reception team to take on some responsibility to solve the issue, rather than asking me to send a message to them. Aside from the actual issues with the room… this response to my complaint was not of a 5 star hotel standard. More training is needed for staff for sure. We did not get a response to the WhatsApp message til the following morning & were assured our room would be thoroughly cleaned. The room was cleaned that morning & a bottle of wine was left in the room, but obviously, the damage had already been done as we had to sleep in the very dirty room the prior evening. We had come to this hotel following a stay at a different hotel & I have to be honest; we really noticed the poor quality of sleep we had at Hacienda - especially due to the extremely loud air con unit. The beds…. So uncomfortable, super low & super firm mattresses with an odd pillow setup that made it difficult to sleep. The hotel pool area was lovely, but beds need updating & lots of noise was coming for the suites closest to the pool (music that was louder than that being played by the hotel). This made it hard to relax. Ultimately, I think there are quite a few truly luxury hotels in Ibiza now & I would recommend you explore those first. The views at Hacienda Na Xamena are awesome but the hotel is a total let down, thoroughly disappointing and really not worthy of the 5 Star rating.
The views are simply stunning and the views are the best thing about this hotel… truly amazing. However, in my opinion; the views do not make up for the fact that this hotel needs a major renovation.

United KingdomThe rooms are ready for a refurbishment now very dated, small uncomfortable bed, we didn’t sleep very well during our stay. The food was also awful soggy greasy chips and floppy ‘raw vegetables’ were served to us around the pool. The hotel is relaxing but it has a weird Vibe that I couldn’t put my finger on. Whilst we were there we ended up driving and leaving the hotel a lot to go out for dinner as the food wasn’t very good and the vibe of the hotel just made me want to spend time away from it. I personally Would recommend staying at Nobu or six senses instead depending on the type of holiday you’re going on. Six senses is faultless but pricey. Nobu can be a bit loud but if you ask for a room away from the pool you have gorgeous views and a great hotel. If you are viewing for a wedding the views from the amphitheater are nice so would be great pictures but the guests can’t see the bride walk down the Isle with the way it’s laid out, and where the guests have to walk through to get to it is like walls with bright red paintings/ graffiti style decor which isn’t very wedding vibe. Also where you have your canapés and drinks reception after the ceremony overlooks the pool so your view is kids playing in the pool and people in the swimming costumes.
The hotel is living off its views. We went as part of our holiday but also to view as a potential wedding venue. It was ok. Slightly underwhelming. The views are gorgeous and the pool area and reception area is nice. The staff and the views are the hotels best assets

United States of AmericaThe rooms were super old & smelly, there was hair EVERYWHERE in the rooms, the hotel is super old and needs to have updates especially in the rooms…the Ac barely worked. I honestly wouldn’t call this a 5 star hotel, I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels in the world but I would call this a 3 star hotel at best.
The views from the room were amazing, the hotel staff was very very friendly and nice.

NetherlandsFood from the hotel (not the Eden restaurant!), was far below quality in terms of quantity, presentation and taste. Patricia one of the waitresses delivered a great service. The frontdesk was bad. We had some issues (hammam not working, iron was really dirty and ruined a shirt, long waiting times for for instance the iron), and no apologies were given nor were we asked at checkout how the stay was. From a 5-Star hotel I expect a different service. You simply for the location.

United KingdomBe ready that hotel is very tired and old-fashioned, pictures don’t show it. There is no shadow/umbrellas by the pool, so you have to spend all afternoon in the sun or use weird small armchairs with canopies. Food is not tasty especially by the pool (very limited, just fried staff) and lunch menu, room service is not impressive either. Massive lack of privacy, you will hear and see everyone below you on their terraces and balconies and they will hear and see you as well, so idea of romantic sunset for two was very challenging.
View is stunning no doubt

United KingdomRooms are old, food menu is terrible and considering you are so far away from anything else, there is really no other option. No working TV in the room either. Lobby and entrance had a weird old smell - the entire place needs some serious modernization and some good food options and it will be lovely.
