The digital check-in process is annoying. You have to pre-register on a link that comes by SMS, pay, get another link for a code, use two different codes to open the doors etc. In the end, it all failed so we just rang the doorbell and picked up key cards, which is much easier! Booking.com stated the final price and said it was inclusive of all taxes. It's not. You also have to pay a city tax per person per night, pay a EUR 40 'cleaning fee', and leave a EUR 150 security deposit (which should be refundable, although we haven't received ours back yet). I don't know if this is Booking.com's fault or the property's but it's misleading. Air conditioning was too noisy to use in one of the bedrooms.

All the staff we met were really lovely, especially those who helped us out when one of us got sick and we had to move rooms to stay an extra unplanned night. They are extremely kind, they respond quickly to all enquiries, and speak many languages. Staff are 10/10! The location is excellent. It's very close to Plaça España, metro and bus stops (including the airport bus), and within walking distance of the park, tourist attractions, places to eat and drink, and grocery shops. The apartments, although plain, are comfy and have what you need for basic self-catering. This is neither good nor bad, just a tip for others: bring earplugs! There is noise from the street and neighbours day and night (to be expected in a city).

I was annoyed to be charged a holding fee on my credit card of 150€ when all they needed to do was put a nominal fee hold like hotels do. When it was refunded, it was short-paid in my currency, plus I had to pay an international transaction fee. The bathroom is disgraceful. There was a terrible sewer smell with the window open. Dark tiles do not hide the amount of mould in the shower area, and we all know mould is toxic. The shower leaked between the glass and the vanity. The noise coming through from next door at all hours (still Fira apartments) was annoying, during the day it was building works, at night banging and yelling. The AC's need servicing. The third bedroom is really small and has no ventilation, you should consider AC for this room as well for comfort. They wanted to come service the room 2 days before we were due to leave, which was pointless, but at least the offered eventually. Overall, it does not deserve an 8.0 rating, I believe it's more a 7.0 when compared to other places I've stayed which are cleaner.

What was there to like? The location was great for many attractions, and the metro and buses were close by. I would suggest using the metro over the hop on hop off to get around, but the latter is great to get a feel for the city so you can decide where you want to go. Oh, and there is a washing machine, which is helpful. They were also helpful in calling a taxi for my friends, so we thank them for that. The kitchenette was useful, as was having the fridge. There wasn't much room to move as the space was quite narrow but we made do.

The location was okkk, but hard to get to the beach, you have to walk to breakfast places, or get bus.

Mattresses were not particularly good. Apartment had very limited natural light (no windows in main living area, only in the 2 bedrooms).

On-site reception desk, staffed 24 hrs/day: Great for assurance, assistance, security/safety, and any kind of questions. Airconditioning worked well. Location was very convenient, near park, groceries, restaurants, subway station, etc. Apartment is functional; has what it needs. Bedrooms are on opposite ends, which is a great plus.

Place needed some small TLC with damaged and cracked paintwork/plaster in certain places, nothing that would affect your actual stay.

There is a nightclub down the street that was open only one night during our stay. It led to more street noise on that night. Otherwise, it was a quiet area.

The walls were very thin, you could hear everything from the other apartments. Sometimes voices till late in the night. Also the bathroom was full of mold.

There was a bit less toilet paper than what we expected, and no soap in the bathroom.

There was enough space, the apartment was well equipped. First we got the wrong room, but I wnr back to the reception, and as they realised the mistake, they gave the keys to the right apartment, a big one with 3 bedrooms I booked for the family.

The noise isolation is very low. You can hear all the neighbors The toilet was not as clean as i would've like it and nobody came to clean the room in 5 days, despite the cleaning fee of 43 euros

Bathroom door handle was falling off, only 1 small towel each for 4 days. Not enough loo roll. Building work being done and very loud in the morning.

It was lovely clean apartment, close to the Metro station, stores and restaurants. Helpful staff. However, it would have been great if some basic household stuff could be provided. For instance: Oil, washing pods. For short durations like mine, we need to purchase these items which were throw-aways at the end of the two or three day trip

Lovely friendly and very helpful staff on reception. Really quiet, you can hear traffic but it doesn't disturb your sleep. Beds were really comfy. Great area generally.

THE AC WAS NOT WORKING IN THE BED ROOMS. THE LIVING ROOM AC WAS THE ONLY ONE WORKING PROPERLY. WE STAYED 612 APARTMENT. DONT KNOW ABOUT OTHERS. THE AC WAS WORKING BUT NOT COOLING ENOUGH AS THEY SHOULD OR THE LIVING ROOM ONE WAS DOING.

PRETTY GOOD. RECEPTION PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY. WE KEPT OUR LUGGAGES AFTER CHECK OUT AND WENT FOR A SHORT CITY TOUR.
