Newly built boutique hotel with very comfortable rooms. Design and comfort for the perfect stay. The location is perfect to explore both the coast and the inland of the Basque county. The plus of the stay were the hosts, very friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

I think I saw the front desk person once when I was there—at check in. Zero vibe. Basically no facilities: no steam room, pool, board games, etc.

Super clean and comfortable. Free water and coffee were great. Probably nicest hotel in Oñate.

The WiFi on the first night was the fastest I ever experienced at a hotel but… on the second day it failed! These days, WiFi is as essential as hot water and I hope the hotel management finds a way to make it more robust. One other point to mention is the lock solution implemented in the rooms that by design requires the doors to be slammed shut, resulting is nasty noise as the other guests return to their rooms. Finally, the room did not really have a proper window - only a roof window with a view of … the sky - for this stay it was not a problem but if you look for something with some kind of view to the hills, this is not the solution. I would have liked to have this highlighted when making my booking.

The property is equipped in a stylish and very comfortable way. Located at the edge of the town, it is a quiet place, with some nice shaded benches across from the building where to relax at the end of the day with a cool drink. The room was spacious well equipped and with warm weather, the air conditioning came in handy. The preserved old wood beams add character.

A well thought out and comfortable modern renovation of a traditional building with a spacious room and great bed, in a scenic and quiet location. The restaurant has good food. The town has an interesting history and the feel of close community.

Excellent interior. Very good mix of modern and authentic style elements. Good bar and luxurious restaurant facitities. Free coffe / thea and other drink facilities for hotel guests in de little pantry. ( Not in the bar / restaurant itself)

There was a miscommunication about breakfast. Us was told on the first night that is was included, but to our unpleasant surprise we had to pay €20 a day at the and of our stay. Because of the language barrier we weren’t able to sort this out. If would have known, we wouldn’t have breakfast everyday as there was no variety.

Beautiful and spacious room with a good bed. Within good driving distance to Bilbao and San Sebastián, as well as mountains close by for hiking.

The steak at the hotel restaurant Was not fresh and smelled bad - we gave up so we had to comprise for salad and bread

It was a little chilly in the room. Rooms at the first floor have the ceiling craking, when someone is walking in the room above at the second floor.

Cool interior design and spacious rooms, free coffes and tea. Very big bed and nice bathroom.

The bathroom lacked any privacy within the suite. The sound proofing was awful, when the guests in the room above were moving around we heard every step which meant we could not sleep until they were in bed and we woke up every time they got out of bed . The breakfast was appalling. A very poor choice and the sliced cheese, meats and fruit were not covered hence the flies enjoying the food rather than paying guests. On our second morning the muesli container was empty and despite a polite request to replenish, it remained empty for the rest of our stay.

Room was well appointed and bed comfortable. Evening meal in adjoining restaurant was good.

We would rate it a 9 if it was not for three main shortcomings that impacted our stay: 1. Terrible soundproofing, walls are like paper, due to kid crying sleeping was heavily affected.. 2. Staff was not very polite: due to late checkin we saw receptionist only the next morning and were asked in a way that felt aggressive which room we were in 3. Glass door between toilet and room, and no apparent ventilation system. This is not good for basic privacy and clean air. This is not acceptable for 200 euro a night, hence a 7 for what could be a 9.

Very nice decor, very spacious room, pet friendly, nice garden in front, easy late checkin, conveniently located for stop on road trip (near highway), good parking.

Unfortunately there was a party in the bar below my room and the noise was unbearable as I was feeling unwell. A live band played from about 7 till 9. Punk rock. My worst nightmare, especially when I had a migraine. This really spoilt my visit and prevented me from using the restaurant. Parking also difficult because of the crowds.

The room and hotel were stunning. Beautiful albeit remote location. 10.mins from motorway.

Unfortunately we had a leak in our bathroom and we contacted reception in the evening but they didn’t care. Slept horribly with the sound of dripping water. A/c not working properly. Rooms need more sound proofing from floor to floor. Breakfast can be improved.

Dinner was advertised for 7.30 but didn’t open until 8.45. Much of the menu wasn’t available. Food was very ordinary. Not enough staff to cope with the number of guests. Simple breakfast but good quality. We heard every footstep from the room above us. We had a deluxe room - 104- but heard every sound from above.

Beautiful rooms. Very modern decor with super bath in the room. Everything very clean and newly renovated. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee available at all hours. Modern individual code system of entry to all doors.

Room 107 has known issues, according to the hotel manager, after we made notice of following issues. First the bathroom has a bad smell due to malfunction shower drain. Secondly large water drops fall on the ground from airco ceiling loction, however airco was not used. Not so nice when you wake up middle of the night due to this.

All fine and people of the hotel being friendly.

The rooms are very very noisy, we could hear the neigbour coughing, people walking and even the tv could be heard from the neighbours. The hallway is also very noisy, some people came in late and woke us up. It was a terrible night without much rest.

Floors are making a lot of noise. Not a little but a lot. Impossible to sleep after people wake up early in rooms on top of you. Hotel staff blames quests getting up too early. Disgracefull.
