Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe main thing I didn't like about the hotel was how thin the walls were. I could literally hear everything from my neighbor's alarm going off or them flushing the toilet, to hearing when everyone around me doors slammed shut. I think one night I even heard a baby screaming from either way down the hall or even a different floor. Also, the rooms were VERY basic for the price that you pay; there wasn't even soap bars in the bathroom to wash your hands with. You are DEFINITELY paying for the location.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was very chic looking, even the hallways were nice and wide. The room was very nice and clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The location was spot on and absolutely perfect: mostly everything was within a 10 minute walking distance. The hotel was close to numerous shops, restaurants, and clubs. The breakfast was efficient, very European with meat, cheese, and bread.

Poland“Double bed” was 2 single beds next to each other, so as a couple we had to sleep separately. Something wrong with the pipe system - when we were draining water from the bathtub a dirty smelly water came out of the bidet.
Nice hotel room in a good location. The staff was very helpful - we arrived very early and could leave our luggage and were checked in early.

FinlandCentral location brings noise from the street. In fifth floor it was not too big problem but ear plugs may be needed.
Room was clean and spacious. Loved the balcony. Beds were good. Location is great near everything: Tram, buses shopping, Mercat Hall, El Corte Ingles. 10 minutes walk to Esplanada.

Excellent location with clean and spacious room. Had breakfast on one occasion, there was a reasonable choice on offer for 10 euros. Train and tram close by and airport bus C6 stops nearby.

Canada- Musty smell (in the kitchenette area) - Bed without a headboard - Very small table - Our room was right next to the loading ramp of a shopping center, and because of this it was very noisy!
- Central location - Clean room - Comfortable mattresses - Room spacious enough for a longer stay

United KingdomI like to be able to have a cup of tea/coffee in the room but unfortunately no kettle available, but not a major problem. Maybe 1 English news channel on TV would be nice, but the remote control can change Movie & Drama channels to English which was good.
Great location, a few minutes walk down to marina & leading on to Beach Promenade, and Castle. MainTram Station Luceros only 50 meters away, and a few mins walk to both Main Renfe Train Stn, and Bus Station and to top it all, the staff at Reception were very nice, and most helpfull. Lovely modern clean room, powerful shower and good aircon, great place for a City visit. We'd stay again for sure.

CanadaOnly thing missing was a small fridge in the room to keep water cool. The hotel offered breakfast however at first glance it did not seem like a meal we would enjoy so we chose to pass on it.
It was a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is a basic hotel to stay a few days and enjoy Alicante and the beach. The room is comfortable enough for a short stay. There was access to a self-service laundry service.

United StatesGuests were slamming the doors when they could have been much more sensitive to other guests. Early and late hours. I suggest a notice be posted in the lobby and in the rooms for guests to be more considerate of their neighbors.
Location was good, and the facilities too. It was lovely to have a little balcony to step out onto and the a/c worked well but I was able to open the balcony doors at night to get the sea air and turn off the a/c. Desk staff are helpful and friendly.

UkraineA huge disappointment, the floor in the room was extremely dirty and never washed once in two days. I had asked for a quiet room when booking. In fact, the windows of the room overlooked the El Corte Inglés department store warehouse where lorries were unloading at night and the movers were shouting and laughing until 3 am and later.
The distance to the hotel from the railway station and the bus station is about 500 meters. The building is very tall so it is easy to find even without navigation. The room is large, for those wishing to prepare meals or chill drinks, there is a reasonably well-equipped kitchen with a fridge. The bed and pillow are comfortable. There is a lovely coffee shop not far from the hotel called Point Bianco Specialty Caffé. For those who like non-touristy places, I also recommend the gastronomic restaurant Tabula Rasa.

United KingdomI was in room 508 on 5th floor. Private apartments may be on 6th floor. The one above me played very loud music for a full 9 hours non stop. Fortunately this did quieten down around 22.00. Reception welcome and departure non existent and merely functional.
Room was clean, light and spacious. Location is quite central and only a out 5 mins walk from Luceros, a stop on the airport C6 route.
