One thing that really bothered us was the very uncomfortable beds! Both the frame and the mattress need replacing. Unfortunately, every night spent in that bed was very difficult, as the mattress would slip off the frame and was very uneven and soft. An extra blanket in the closet for colder nights was without a cover.

Wonderful location to start hikes near Teide and up to the Teide volcano itself. Close to the charming old town of Vilaflor. Beautiful view from the terrace (we weren't lucky with the weather, but whenever the clouds cleared, we could even see the ocean in the distance). The garden is large, though somewhat neglected. The apartment is quite small but sufficient for two people. We weren't lucky with the weather in April, so it was cold inside, but a radiator and heater were available and did the job. Excellent contact with the owner.

No insulation, would not recommend for the winter season as you'll need all the provided heaters.

Vilaflor is a great place to get away from all the tourists and summer heat by the sea side. Close to the hills and most hike areas. I's also 1.6km high so you'll get used to thinner air in the mountains. Has all the required facilities, nothing is broken, all is tidy.

I was 4 weeks hiking on the islands Gran Canaria, El Hierro, Lanzarote and Tenerife. I liked the apartment El Mirador best of the 4 on this holiday. The village Vilaflor at 1400 m is very well located for hiking in the mountains. The view from the balcony is beautiful and gives a feeling of freedom. I can highly recommend the apartment El Mirador.

One room for kitchen, sitting and bed. A lot of keys for getting into property and security cameras. Over looks main road up to Teide from the south so a bit of road noise with the quad bikes and coaches going up and down but most of the time the road is very quiet and at night pretty much silent.

Great location with fantastic views, clean apartment. Comfortable bed and comfortable chairs.Plenty of hot water reasonable shower good clean bathroom.. Very quiet location far from the maddening crowd. Great location for exploring South Side of Teide national Park. Two gas hobs, microwave, fridge,electric kettle and pans make it possible to prepare food. However plenty of options for eating out locally. Close enough to Vilaflor to be able.to use facilities 5 minutes in car or 15 minute steep walk down but far enough away to get peace and quiet. GR 131 walking route passes property so walking from the front door. Small church just above property with large outdoor area.

Can’t think of anything apart from that more than 3 towels for 5 days/2 persons would be nice. We were a bit confused about the instructions for arrival; note that the lock on the gated door on the front door is not locked itself.

Lovely studio with amazing views. The balcony has sun in the morning, perfect for a breakfast with views of the mountains, village, and sea. Beautiful garden with many spots to sit, you can always find a sunny spot. Great place for hiking, the bus stop to the El Teide National Park is a 10-minute walk. Smooth communication and nice local tips from Michael.

The heater was making a clicking sound during night. But we could use air conditioning instead of the heater so the problem was solved.

And there is an excellent pizzeria in the city - Pozzeria Casino

Exceptional hospitality by Michael & Linda. One day Michael drove us to the Teide hiking starting point. Another day he and his partner arranged curry for us. And the last day he brought us to the cost for catching our ferry! Thank you very much Michael & Linda, double kudos to you!!

What's below was not an issue for us, however consider this as a tip: -Due to high altitude location Vilaflor sometimes can be cold. Electric heater was very helpfull during first two nights. Later days were very hot -Restaurants & small markets can be closed early. I recommend to do food shoping in a bigger market like Lidl and store your food supplies in the room's kitchen.

The big "+" is the kitchen with all you need, including microwave oven and a fridge - Electric heater for colder nights - No problem to park rented car in front of the gate - Vilaflor is a quiet town located ~1500m above ocean level - It is the perfect location for people who wants to explore hike trails near Teide (20-30min by car) and are less interested in lazy sunbatching on a beach - In the town there is a fuel station

This studio is located on a hill overlooking Vilaflor and was much nicer than we expected! A big plus is that the pull-out couch has a normal mattress, so it was very comfy! The balcony overlooking town (and with a sea view in the distance) is an excellent place for breakfast, street parking was very easy at the gate, and we loved the cats roaming the property. It's worth knowing that Vilaflor gets much cooler than the coast in the evenings. The heaters and blankets provided were great, it was just a bit chilly getting out of bed in the mornings some days

Everything was fine.

Apartment perfectly located for hikers, close to various mountain trails. Modestly equipped and decorated but it had everything we needed. We loved the big garden with various plants and trees, and wonderful view of Vilaflor from the balcony. Good contact with owner who sent us a lot of useful information.

Really great place as a home base for your Teide national park hikes. The view from small balcony is outstanding! It is basically a room with kitchen corner and bathroom. There is no bed, but extendable sofa (very cosy). Kitchen is well equipped (except of sharp knives). There is no wifi (as written in the description). The garden around is very cute, same as whole town
