Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only disappointment was the breakfast. Not open until 8am, and just average. Coffee and juice from the machines was poor, and a very limited food selection. It wouldn't prevent me using the hotel again, but I wouldn't pay for a "breakfast included" rate again, especially as the suite had a fridge and cooking facilities.
Location was excellent for my visit (business), but may not be for some as very close to motorway. However it was very convenient for me, and the hotel boasted a gym and a pool which I didn't have time to use during my visit. The rooms were a very good size, with a separate seating area, balcony, small kitchenette and master bedroom. The w/c felt a little cramped by having a washing machine in there too, and both the toilet and shower were part of the main bedroom area, with glass partitions (excellent shower). For me as a single business traveller it had everything I needed and more, even down to the ability to make my own ice in the provided fridge / freezer. This hotel could be very functional for longer stays - very comfortable, nice bedding and plenty of towels. Staff were very helpful - English speaking too, helpful for a British traveller!

Spain- toilet and shower are literally in your bedroom :/ well, behind the partially transparent glass door. I didn’t have any problem with that, because I stayed alone, but if you travel with someone, the privacy is questionable, in my opinion.
- perfect location for those who want to attend events at Caja Mágica; - very close to the metro station; - easy check in/check out - room with balcony and kitchen

GreeceI didn't like the lack of personnel, everything seemed like people are doing more than what they are expected to, like the person of the breakfast, one for all.
I liked the people, everyone was happy and ready to help.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to be able to lock the door of the room internally, and it was a shame the pool closed at 9pm as I arrived too late to try it. There was also not many facilities around the hotel - quite a quiet area.
The facilities were really modern, clean and functional. The price was good considering other places in the city, and though it was not near the centre it was super easy to reach the main tourist areas by hopping on the number 3 metro. The staff were very helpful and check in and out was very easy.

United KingdomWould be good to have a few coffee capsules/tea towel/washing up liquid included in the suite, rather than have to buy for just a couple of days. There is ongoing building work close by so some noise from that at times.
Outside of central Madrid, but easy to reach centre (Sol) via metro line 3, just a few minutes walk away. Very comfortable room, with plenty of storage space and well equipped kitchen. Nice to have a balcony.

AustraliaThe cooktop didn't work, and the batteries to the remote were dead. However, once we advised reception, they sent someone up within half an hour to replace. The floor was heated. However, you could not adjust the temp. Due to the fact that the rooms are outside, cold air does get through the door seals. The floor was filthy, hadn't been washed in a while, as evident by our feet and socks, and you could just tell. The tap in the kitchen sink was loose. It's still usable but awkward. We advised reception on leaving. It would also be advantageous if coffee pods, dish washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing liquid were supplied, tea bags, and a kettle. Otherwise, what is the point of having these appliances, as no one would travel with these accessories. Would also be good to supply a corkscrew and tea towel. 🤔 Oh, and a false fingernail was left in the bed after being made. Attention to detail NOT! 🫣
It was spacious, in a good location, supermarket and tapas bar down the road, and the metro was just up the road also which takes you straight into town. Staff were friendly, and the building was quirky.

CanadaWe had torrential rain during one day (Madrid had to close parks, roads were flooded so not a normal rain) and water was coming into the apartment first by the private elevator shaft then through both the front and back doors. As all the corridors of the hotel are outside, the corridor leading to our apartment was flooded and water was leaking in from under the door. The hotel staff put towels on the floor and mopped up water and tried to clear the corridor of water so we could leave the apartment without getting soaked. The next day the sun was out again and everything was back to normal.
Great apartment hotel. We had a duplex with a kitchen and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the first floor (with a washing machine) and a living room and a second bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the second floor. You could reach the second floor either through a private outside staircase or a private elevator (that could fit only 1 person at a time) in the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped (good size refrigerator, microwave, stove top, dishwasher, plates and pots and pans). The breakfast was nice and they made omelets to order. The employees of the hotel were very nice and quick to respond to requests (eg. extra towels, ordering taxis etc). The location is very good. A 5 min walk to a metro station on the yellow line (3) which brings you to Sol. A taxi to the Palace cost just a few euros. Not a lot of restaurants around but a grocery store very close (5 min walk).
