Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf you need WiFi in your room you will have to pay for it, the same goes for extra towels. The bathroom had a strange smell. Also, the restaurant closes at 9 pm, which is a bit early.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and the location was great!

United KingdomIt was not problem for us but probably is too hot in summer in these apartments as no air conditioning there.
Generally all was fine. Good location. Very clean. Tasty breakfast every morning. Staff helpful and friendly. We have been offered to leave our luggage in special room after checking out and to use pool and sun lounges in our few free hours before leaving. Also was given keys for shower and towels provided.

IrelandFirst thing i noticed in apartment was old fitted bed sheets, scratchy and washed probably million times. Next day i was asking for new sheets so i got nice clean flat cotton sheets and was happy with them. Also one towel in bathroom was yellow probably stained with bleach so didn’t use that one, i left it on floor and cleaner replaced it, they were changing towels every day and all of them were good. Last day when i was packing i noticed under the bed somebody’s belongings, definitely not mine, so that’s telling me that cleaning is not done throughly between occupants .. I didn’t report that as it was our last day and i had to catch bus to airport so i didn’t want to complicate things. Pool is heated but i am not sure that it is 25-26 degrees as advertised, maybe i was wrong but it felt colder and i wasn’t the only one commenting on that. But jacuzzi was gorgeous and warm 👌 It was around 25 degrees every day, and apartment was warm, it was little bit hard to sleep as there is no air con, but it was ok towards morning. I can imagine it would be very hard to sleep in that apt if it was over 30 degrees outside. Pool bar was most expensive place for drinks and ice cream, cocktails 8e, ice cream 3.50-3.90, pint 4e etc . It was cheaper in any other place we went.
Breakfast was basic but nice, scrambled eggs were very tasty. View from balcony was nice, apartment piccaso was nice and spacious for three of us. Good firm mattress, we had nice sleep. Quiet apartment with almost no noise from neighbors. Heated pool and big jacuzzi with amazing view to sea. Good amount of sun loungers .Spar just beside apartment. Buses every 5-10minutes to lots of locations. Bus from airport to Playa del cura was 50mins long ride and was around 16e. Beach 3minutes walk but we preferred playa amaderos which was only 4mins by and bus stop just minute away from hotel so we were traveling to playa amaderos every day, only 1.50e for ticket. Food in every restaurant was amazing, especially marakesh restaurant-best steak we ever had. On playa amaderos casa italia and Indian restaurant amaaazing! Cocktails between 5.50-7.50, food between 17-28 mains, pint of beer between 2.50-3e. Lots of nice markets around beach with nice summer clothes and souvenirs.

FinlandOur coffee machine was broken so we weren't able to use it at all during the stay and had to buy extra supplies from the grocery store in order to brew coffee in the room. There wasn't enough hot water to have a hot shower from beginning to end, although the situation was better in the evening (they might be using solar panels for the hot water, so this often happens in my experience). Some people have complained about the towels and sheets but I found them ok and very clean, if not brand new. We did not enjoy the breakfast generally, although there were some bright spots, such as the homemade kefir, but it was very much "food as fuel" not "food for enjoyment". Therefore I made breakfast in the room about 4x so that we could have a break, as the food didnt change much day to day. If I would stay again I would skip breakfast.
We had a great room with a private balcony on the top floor based on my request for a room on a higher floor. The view from the room was fantastic and we got the evening sun, allowing us to enjoy sun bathing, snacks and reading on the balcony after a day at the beach or out visiting various attractions. The bed was quite firm, but we actually slept very well and the delivery of a surprise bottle of wine and nice Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve was an unexpected delight. If I could stay in the same room I would definitely stay at Curasol again. The room and general experience far exceeded my expectations and I think for the price, a stay at Curasol is a very good value.

United KingdomAir-conditioning was really required for overnight comfort. Lots of 'extras' to pay for (wifi, parking, safe etc.) that could have been included to make for better value. We would have preferred a balcony or dedicated terrace area - we had a "terrace" that wasn't as private and kept getting used by large group next door.
Location was good - great view, choice of restaurants nearby and good access to a range of attractions. Pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomSmall niggles really, another bed pillow (normally take my own as this is a difficult thing to please), came here a few years ago and parasols were by the sunbeds permanently, now for a charge. Sun lounger mattresses should just be put out for use, instead of being left in the corner of the pool. Curasol just make people comfortable, maybe a little extra charge on hotel reservation instead of daily charges 😕.
All the staff were extremely polite, immaculately clean, fabulous location and view, peaceful, lovely rest

BelgiumBreakfast was a little basic and nothing spectacular, but having a kitchen you can always add to it,, and it is served on your terrace which is really nice (out of season the restaurant is closed).
Loved this place. Simple, basic, clean. Has absolutely everything you may need. Position is super, each little flat with a sea view and a terrace. In a less busy and touristy cove, a supermarket nearby and a few restaurants. Perfect.

DenmarkWifi in the room is available at an extra cost, the quality of the signal is mediocre. There is no air conditioning in the room, which is kind of a problem in the hot season (although a portable AC is available at an extra cost). The breakfast is good (more or less standard continental), but the variety does not change over time, and you eat the same food every day.
Very nice location: the ocean, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Nice small pool, our room had a kitchen, everything was clean and neat. There are washing machines, so it's possible to wash the clothes.

SpainThe room seemed quite outdated with the towels being clearly washed so many times they had become grey. Toiletries are not provided so bring your own soap, shampoo and toothpaste. You will also have to pay for wifi if you wanted in your room which is quite a dissadvantage in 2023
it is great value for money big spacious aparthotel with great sea views. Not too touristy with short distance away from major landmarks (with car). The hotel’s pool and jacuzzi are definitely a great bonus

DenmarkThe only thing I would say was not ideal is the lack of Air conditioning or fan. The bed is quite hard but it is not something you cannot sleep on it.
In general it was a very nice stay, the staff was GREAT, any issues we had was promptly fix by them and they were always available. We order a bottle of Prosecco for the first night, they forgot to place it in my room, but the next day they apologised and gift us an amazing bottle of white wine. It's extremely easy to book the umbrella and the towels for the pool, or to rent a car, they just fix it in minute! The breakfast is various and everyday has some different additions, also is extremely various, from savoury to sweets. Carlo, the chef, is the sweetest and incredibly helpful, but also the receptionist that help us a lot, she is incredible! Also regarding the location, you have everything close by: SPAR supermarket, bus stops, restaurants and beaches. 5min walking basically. I would not recommend this hotel to whoever wants to party hard (Playa del Cura, in general, is not a party location. If you are looking to do that, you should go to Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles). But, cocktails are huge and cheap, I recommend to try the Curasol :)

PortugalApartment cleaning could be improved. Also, there were two individual blankets on the matrimonial bed instead of only one for the couple, it seemed as we were inside of individual sleeping bags. No air conditioner, it was too hot in the bedroom, had to leave the window open for the all stay.
Nice staff, big apartment with kitchen facilities and wc, beach close by, very good breakfast, quiet neighbourhood, supermarket and restaurants near by, big pool and jacuzzi, wondeful views to the beach, a very good option if the decision is to stay in the south part of the island.
