Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

United KingdomOn arrival we came face to face with the most unwelcoming and unfriendly receptionist called Lydia. Her manner was very disappointing. She looked totally unimpressed to see us, no smile, offered no greeting or helpful and useful information about the hotel or the city. A very bad first impression of the hotel. Fortunately all other staff were charming and friendly and so the attitude of Lydia was just best ignored. She does the hotel no favours. Perhaps she would rather not be there? That is the impression.
The overall feeling was one of a professional, friendly and efficiently run hotel. It has a pleasant ambiance, good decor/presentation and, with one exception, very welcoming and obliging staff. The bedroom was a good size, as was the bathroom (and with a good shower). Cleanliness was good throughout the hotel. Breakfast was of a very high standard with a wide choice of good quality food. More than enough to satisfy all tastes of reasonable people. The breakfast room is big and, as with the rest of the hotel, is attractive, well presented and well run. We used the gastro bar for drinks and on one occasion for a meal, the food was excellent. Again, a pleasant and attractive environment. There were the inevitable rude and totally inconsiderate guests banging bedroom doors and making noise from time to time as if they were the only guests! It happens everywhere. Although a fairly lengthy walk to the main tourist sites we found the location of the hotel perfectly satisfactory, not least because we made use of the railway station close by for trips to Cadiz and Cordoba. The local area was fine and certainly fairly peaceful and perfectly safe feeling.

United StatesMy AC wasn’t working much at all. I made a request the first morning to get it fixed and asked for help with the window shade while I was away that day, no one showed up. Had to make a 2nd request and the guy at the front desk was annoyed (even though he was the person I’d spoken to the previous day). The repairman was very sweet but ultimately the AC never got fixed and I never got help with window screen. The hair dryer works for about 4 minutes tops and then turns off automatically and you have to wait for it to cool down or something before it works again. There are no kettles in the room. The hallway noise was so loud even though I was tucked in a corner. It sounded like someone was slamming a shopping cart around the hallway all day from mid morning til late afternoon.
Location is close to bus station and about 20 minutes walk to old town area. Easy ride to airport as well and a small grocery store about a block away. It’s about 35 minutes walk to Triana. Semi central but you have to like walking. Upon checkin I had the friendliest people at the front desk helping me to get in my room early and giving me info. The spa on-site is nice and I got a great massage. Comfy beds, fridge worked well to keep my food extra cold. There IS a lift both inside the property and to street level if you’ve got heavy bags or have mobility issues with stairs. The lady in the bar late at night was so friendly when I needed to get some tea. Rooftop view was nice.

Luxembourgthe morning coffee could have been better and eventually you could have bigger cups/mugs for breakfast. But it is a minor thing, probably only my preference.
The hotel exceeded my expectations. First I have been upgraded from a double room to a premium double room. (A big thank you to the kind receptionist Pedro) The room was not above the lobby but in the back, a very traditional part of the hotel with only 2 floors. The room was very very quiet, even though it was next to the lift. The bed was so comfortable and really huge and so was the bathroom/shower as well. The location is perfect if you are coming from the airport, or from the train station Santa Justa. From the hotel you can get to the 'Setas' in less than 10 minutes walk. There is a supermarket next to the hotel should you need something. The breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice and enough choices for everyone. The rooftop pool and sundeck were a big plus to enjoy the afternoon sun and grab a drink from the bar. The view is amazing, you can see the cathedral from the pool. I would definitely go back again. See you soon :)
