Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Our stay at Casa Valeta was simply amazing, exceptional from beginning to end. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Martin, the host, right at the entrance of the property. He assisted us with our luggage and gave us a tour of his stunning home. Additionally, he provided a thorough rundown of all the dos and don’ts of Barcelona, including places to visit, restaurants to try, and more. He also shared fascinating information about the history of Barcelona, which was very helpful for us as first-time visitors. Mr. Martin was incredibly warm, funny, and helpful. He assured us that he was always available via text or call if we ever needed anything and encouraged us to reach out anytime we needed recommendations for nearby restaurants while sightseeing. The property itself was beautiful. I remember walking in and feeling so happy. The rooms were clean and aesthetically pleasing. All the facilities were amazing, whether it was the showers with ample toiletry supplies or the kitchen equipped with all kinds of utensils, silverware, and tea/coffee provisions. I particularly appreciated the the coffee table books about history of Barcelona, Life of Gaudi and more. The icing on the cake was the incredible location of the property. Our incredible experience in Barcelona was greatly enhanced by our stay at Casa Valeta. Choosing this place was the best decision.

Excellent! Very very nice apartment, clean and welcoming. It is very well located so we had access to many of the sights by walking. We had quick access (a few minutes) to transportation (bus, metro). Martin is fantastic. He gave us a very friendly welcome and made us feel at home! He was very attentive to us during our stay and gave us great advice on both sights and restaurants where we ate the best food at great prices! 🥰 I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Valeta! ❤️ Thank you so much, Martin!!!🥰

United KingdomThe towels and bedding were a little 'tired' and 'grey'. The duvet cover felt 'nylony'- wasnt breathable- made sleep less comfortable. The kitchen, as in the photos is small. We were ready for that. However the markings on the dials for the oven have worn off so you cant see whether you are using the grill, oven, fan-oven function, and the same with the temperature gauge. Oven gloves are needed. And if the apartment is being booked out to couples then dishes for the oven that are for two/three and not family size would have been appreciated.
Fantastic location, walked to most places, easy to get local bus to Barcolonetta, gorgeous light and airy lounge with balcony, Martin the host was extremely warm, helpful and generous. Loved the traditional tile flooring and homely feel to the place. Comfy mattress on bed. Sofa and dining chairs/table were comfy too. Fabulous local bakery recommended by Martin and great local markets with great food- worth the walk.
