This apartment was absolute perfection in every way. It was immaculately clean, had everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay, is full of character, and is in the most picturesque of locations. The kitchen was really well equipped with utensils, as well as coffee pods, olive oil, salt/pepper, laundry detergent, and we were even left a complimentary bottle of wine! The bed and bedding was incredibly comfortable - the best night sleep we’d both had in awhile! The host was also very friendly and helpful, and easy to message via WhatsApp.

This apartment has so many positive aspects, including the facilities, layout and its tranquil location, the amazing fresh water from the fountain nearby, the cool temperature inside on a hot day, the spacious bedroom and bathroom, the cleanliness of the facilities, ready access to many trekking paths of the High Alpujaras, and the exceptional attentiveness of our hosts.

Location is number one. Two is the little garden that belongs to the apartment. Nice and so private. A lot of space. Good bed en fine shower. Kitchen well equiped. Nice welcome gift.

The owners have paid so much attention to detail in the house we felt that was slightly missing from the garden area which had the potential to be very pretty and offer so much more. In comparison, maybe being at the end of the summer, it felt a little neglected and unloved.

Beautiful rustic cottage, superbly renovated and decorated. Loved all the iconic artefacts and the traditional characteristics. Fantastic village location and ideal for visiting nearby Pampaneira and Capileira which provided a greater choice of restaurants and bars in the evening. Parking was always available on the little street and the village offers all the amenities you need, as does the cottage. The weather was good during our stay and it was lovely to have the garden to use as there is no terrace with the house. Would love to come back and the cottage really invites you to want to be there in the Winter as well with its cosy, homely feel. Excellent communication and prompt replies to our messages throughout.

The electric orange juicer didn’t work. Only one mug ( 2 nice mugs for tea would be perfect as many English prefer a mug to a little cup)

Very tastefully decorated and furnished with style. A nice bottle of wine to welcome us on arrival. Very quiet and peaceful. Great view from the garden.

Lovely well equipped place in a great location! Had central heating and an oven which isn’t so common. There was a problem with the washing machine (no ones fault) and there was someone around to look at it within ten mins!

This was a darling apartment. It was typical to the region and a great experience for that reason alone, but also it was clean, cozy and roomy with a working fireplace and good kitchen. There is also a lovely private garden. The owner greeted us and showed us everything with pride and had complimentary Cava Cava and chocolate waiting for us upon our arrival.

The accommodation was superb and a credit to the owner. It had all the mod cons and quality of a modern home put with a Special Spanish Flavour. A must place to stay.

Nothing, it couldn't have been better - we just wished we could move in, become adopted by Conchi and spend the rest of our days in Bubion at Casa Tita Maria!

We loved the house which was like a little museum with lots of furniture and personal effects leftover from Conchi's auntie. Conchi told us that the house was 300 years old and it had the most amazing floor tiles, and was absolutely chock-a-block full of character. Indeed Conchi, Laura's mum, was full of character herself! The house was so clean, cleaner than anywhere we've ever stayed in the world, including many famous 5 star hotels. My wife, whose first and primary concern when staying somewhere is cleanliness, was so impressed that she and Conchi had a little conference about the exemplary nature of Conchi's cleaning and attention to detail. The town of Bubion itself is beautiful and perfectly located to visit Pampaneira, Capileira and the rest of the Alpujarras. To be honest, I didn't want to write this review as my wife and I wanted to try to keep Casa Tita Maria a secret, but it's just too good to keep to ourselves and Conchi and Laura need to spread their love as far afield as possible, to try to help heal this troubled world we live in.
