Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only thing I wished they had was dinner and/or a communal kitchen since it was out of town. We did have a car at this point but if you’re doing the Camino it’s not super convenient to go back and forth
Just such a beautiful place!! Worth it to go a little out of town for a relaxing night at this magical property with the sweetest hosts!

QatarNothing.
We loved the rural setting! We had a late lunch in Triacastela and bought some bread and meat to have a nice picnic dinner at Casa Pacios. The renovated 16th century buildings are beautiful, and we enjoyed the games available in the common room. The breakfast was really nice and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. We were offered storage for our bicycles and an electrical point to charge our e-bike.

United StatesTravelers need to know that they will have to eat dinner before they are transported out to the property. Also there are no laundry services at the property. The host was very good about transporting us to and from town. Breakfast is available at the property.

United StatesI loved everything about the property!!
The hotel was in a beautiful setting, with a lovely cow pasture outside, a beautiful common room and dining hall, and the rooms had the perfect balance of antiques and modern bathroom appliances. The staff went out of their way to make sure my every need was met, including driving me to town for supplies and even taking me for a tour of the town. I can’t wait to return!!

FranceFernando’s hosting is kind and attentive. The blissful calm of this handsome farmhouse, surrounded by local farms, means it is a short distance from the village but Fernando will make sure you are where you want to be and when. He is a beloved integrated part of Triacastela’s social fabric. Thanks to him I attended a (free) local music and cultural festival, a wonderful taste of Galicia.

Austriait was a bit far away from Camino de Santiago. The owner offered to pick me up and bring me back to the camino. For a pilgrim who walked more than 500 km this makes no sense, so I refused. I choose the place because of the swimming pool. when I arrived I had to discover that it was not functioning
it was a perfect place, apart of some misunderstandings

United StatesThe shower. Barely enough room to turn around in there, let alone bend over to pick something up. And the water pressure was practically zero. It fairly dribbled out of the shower wand.
The setting was beautiful and serene. The hosts were outstanding - very friendly and accommodating. And the BBQ dinner was above and beyond. Fernando and his family were just the best!

United Arab EmiratesThe place is sort of off track of about 2 km from center.
Prefect place for stay over night for the Camino. Ordinary travelers should not expect too much as this place is great for one night stay. However, Fernando is such amazing soul he received 3 of us and prepare wonderful dinner and provide morning ride to starting point of the Camino walk as this place is little bit off track. We will never forget our stay and dinner in this place. There was kind and wonderful lady who prepare the food but unfortunately I forgot her name.

The location is about a mile and a half out of town. My host drove me to and from town at my request. The house is recently renovated, comfortable and very quiet. A great stop for anyone on the camino. There are rooms for groups and families of 4 to 6 persons. Some of the apartments have kitchens as well.

South AfricaWe did not receive any check-in instructions. It took us about 30 minutes to get the attention of our host to open up for us. Our bags were standing outside, and they did not even put it in our apartment. The apartment was not very clean, the fridge was broken, and there were mouse traps all over the place. They did not put out any coffee or tea or even a bottle of water. The Casa is 5km out of town, and we battled to get a taxi to take us to a restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was included, and I had to pay 3 EUROS for a second cup of black coffee. We were so disappointed as the Casa could have been the highlight of our trip.
It is a lovely place on a beautiful warm. We were 5 people, and there was enough space for all of us.
