Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only minor drawback is that there aren't many drawers for putting clothes away. And the closet isn't a traditional closet in that it is open and visible. This just means that you have to be more organized with your clothes so you don't create a messy room.
This is a fantastic hotel in a fabulous location. We walked to everything we wanted to see or do from the hotel. The staff are just lovely and so friendly and want to be sure you are happy and comfortable. We had an issue with our room not being ready at check-in and the staff went above and beyond to compensate for the delay. The breakfasts are probably the best we've ever experienced in any hotel - so much choice and so delicious. (The breakfast staff even remember your coffee order the next day.) And again, the location can't be beat. The rooms are also soundproof -- a bonus in a city known for its loud and late nightlife. We're so glad we chose to stay at this mid-size boutique hotel. It is beautifully re-done and decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. Can't say enough good things about it!

United StatesNo complaints at all.
The Casa de las Artes is a very special place. Stunning architecture, particularly in the restaurant. All of the colors and designs elements are tasteful and refined and yet comfortable. A highlight for me was the pool and sauna. The sauna was hot. The pool area was very relaxing and peaceful. I extended my stay and they allowed me early check in to my new room, and a late check out when I eventually departed. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.

United Stateslthough I do not like that these rooms do not have much space and no closet only some open hangers and almost no drawers. I know it is the trend these days, but I do not like that. The room space is very compromised too for a long stay. The room heating did not work when outside temperature does not reach 22 degrees, so the room was not in a sunny set and therefore colder than outside.
The building is very nice as it is a historic premise. The staff very nice and attentive, especially the guys at the doors. The room very clean and bed extremely confortable

SwitzerlandAll the Staff were so nice there. We had a great talk whenever we met them at the Reception. Also, they recommended us some super restaurants nearby (like 5-8 minutes walks). The service was just great. The only thing that is to „rent“ about, is the water in the shower. It suddenly turns very hot and almost burning hot, so you cannot really shower anymore. And the AC was a little weird, but we talked about it with the staff. On our first day when we arrived it was on and out of nowhere it smelled liked food in our room for hours, but we could regulate it with opening the window. Well…that’s the two “bad” things in the hotel. The rest was just so fine! We will definitely come back and stay a little more days. The staff is so nice, the rooms are so clean and the interior super cozy and welcoming. Excellent service. Really. Good Job!

United KingdomI had to request another room because the first was noisy and too warm. This room was close to the restaurant and I could hear the music, service and clearing up at the end of the evening. The hotel moved me, at their earliest opportunity, to a significantly quieter room but I had already had two poor night’s sleep which was disappointing.
Excellent location, near the main art galleries and a very useful library of art books available to guests. Breakfast was very good and served in wonderful surroundings. Room was very clean, well-equipped and the shower was perfect.

MoldovaPerhaps, the rooms are too small for that price. Should note that the hotel opened in September 2024. I hope tourists will not ruin it in a year.
A brand-new hotel in the heart of the city, not far from the train station and metro. It's convenient to walk to the nearest famous palaces and Prado museum, also the Retiro park is marvelous. The hotel is beautiful, breakfast with menu, "goodnight" service is a a pleasant tiny thing, but we liked it. We also express our gratitude to the young ladies who are helping during the breakfast (Gracias¡).
