The Wi-Fi wasn’t great in the room we were staying in, although was perfect when for drinks or breakfast - more so the positioning of the router.

Staff were friendly, housekeeping was excellent. Location was perfect as we could walk everywhere. Didn't know the hotel restaurant was a Michelin star. Lots of local restaurants and bars. A local supermarket. Just what you need for a weekend break. Well done everyone at El Avenida Palace.

My safe battery was low. I reported it and it was rectified but when I wasn't present and the safe was left open with passport, credit cards and cash in it. Fortunately there doesn't appear to have been any "damage" due to this but it was working and unsatisfactory

I wish the rooftop did not close so early around 10 pm. Also, soundproofing from the corridors to the rooms were not great, but it is not a huge issue.

The location is great. It is right on a main street and in a walking distance to anywhere you need to be in the city. The inside of the building and the rooms are as advertised and very clean. The rooftop pool is somewhere everybody needs to visit just to check out the view. The best thing was, however, the staff. All of them were extremely helpful and sincere in every moment we had a question or request.

We had the adjoining family rooms which worked out very well. The rooms were large and comfortable. The location of this hotel is excellent. The breakfast choices were also very good and the breakfast room was lovely. This is a beautiful hotel.

We requested two separate beds for the kids but they didn’t have empty rooms with two beds so they gave an extra folding bed which was not very comfortable. But other than that everything was amazing

The location was perfect. The terrace had the best view to see every part of Barcelona. And Gabriella (reception) with her suggestions and hospitality made our stay even more unforgettable. So we thank her. And all the other stuff who were very friendly. The stuff cleaned our rooms each day wonderfully. The breakfast was exceptional. Everything was fresh. Starting the day with a glass of Cava really made us smile.
