Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I really liked the location. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral-Mosque. Right in the heart of the Jewish barrio with multitudes of restaurants and bars.

CanadaVery difficult to sleep here. It was unbelievably loud. You could hear other guests clearly through the thin walls. Our room backed onto a street so street noise was also an issue. A small piece of construction equipment began operating around 6am on the street outside. The hallways have automatic lights, which turn on when you walk by. This sounded good on theory, but our room had a window that faced the hallway. The light lit up our entire room at night any time someone walked by. Bunk beds were also a bit sketchy, no ladder to access, no guard rails.
Centrally located in tourist area, easy to find. Staff very friendly and check in/out easy. Cute central courtyard

United StatesThe only unfortunate part of our stay was that the desk receiptionist had run out of maps of the neighborhood. For a newcomer, it is very, very easy to get lost in the warren of lanes around the hostel, especially at night. Exacerbating the problem is that management provided cards for the hostel on the reception desk (presumably to show strangers the hotel's location when we, lost clients, asked for help). Arc House has a sister establishment with almost the same name in the area and the address of that hostel was listed on the card, not the address of the Arc House Mexquite. when it became dark it was nearly impossible for us to find our way back to the hostel. Strangers helped us many times, using their Google Maps. But the lanes are so small that Google Maps doesn't even list them. Only after an hour of wandering around and pestering passers-by were we able to make our way back to the hostel. Also, my partner and I stayed in a room with a bunk bed. Usually, there is a ladder to help the person on the upper bunk climb up. In our room, there was none, so I pushed the desk against the bed, put a chair on top, and managed to climb up that way. So, beware of asking for a room with two beds--unless you are on the spry and young side.
The great plus to this hostel is the lovely courtyard on the grounds, perfect for sitting in on a nice day. Good location close to the Mezquita but take a good map anyway.

IsraelI had an absolutely shocking experience at this place. I arrived late and self-checked in, but they gave me the wrong room number, eventually I figured it out. Mistakes happen, so I let it go. However, when I entered my room, the bathroom was a nightmare: hair everywhere, and the toilet was filled with human feces—clearly the cleaning staff didn't even bother clean it. With the reception closed, I called the emergency number, but no one answered. I finally reached someone via WhatsApp, only to be told nothing could be done until morning. I had to clean the toilet and sink myself, something no guest should do upon check-in. The next morning, I spoke to the receptionist about the disgusting conditions, and he offered a "generous" 30% refund on the first night and a late checkout. After a long day exploring the city, I returned to find the bathroom still hadn't been cleaned, and the reception was closed again. On my final day, despite my late checkout, the housekeeper came to kick me out because she hadn’t been informed. Plus, they have this weird policy of not allowing you to flush toilet paper, which is not standard in Córdoba. Overall, this was a horrendous stay that I would not recommend to anyone, one of my worst stays traveling anywhere.
Great location, nothing else

United KingdomThe check-in process was needlessly complicated. They sent multiple emails, texts, whatsapp messages telling me to check in online giving them exact times, sending ID information etc. Claimed they'd give a code for entry etc When I arrived I had received no code and they ignorned my calls and WhatsApp messages while I waited near an old reception at the door However, I walked in further and there was a secondary reception that seemed to be permanently manned and checked in just like any hotel as normal. All the pre arrival stuff was a waste of time and simply just confusing

RomaniaI had to move to another hotel (of the same company) because the lock on the door didn't work. Although the receptionist was understanding and found a solution to the problem, the owner should invest more in his establishments. Both locations were very unkept. The walls were cracked, the door could not be opened and the bathroom didn't look too good either. In the other hotel (Arc House Ribera) the water from the sink was spilling on the floor and I even saw a cockroach in the hallway. All in all, I strongly recommend you avoid any of the Arc House establishments in Cordoba
The location was really good and the receptionist was helpful.

SloveniaOnly the sound isolation might be a bit of a problem (depending on the room), can be easily avoided though with some earplugs for the more picky speepers:)
Great location to access the old city centre, we were especially happy about the staff who were really friendly and ready to help us. The room has any amenity you could expect for such price and offers a nice level of comfort, too. One of the best price/quality ratios out there.
