Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The location was very convenient for us, about 35-40 from the airport by taxi.Public Transport wise, you can easily use buses and the metro lines(L7 to Av.Tibidabo and L3 to Lesseps) to go to the city centre or to Barceloneta beach using the bus line V19. The Barcelona tour bus is within 6-10 minutes walk, and the receptionists were so helpful in answering all our questions. Our room was bigger than we expected, we enjoyed the swimming pool, the house keeping was spot on.There is a small fridge, kettle, electric hot plate and utensils, air conditioning worked ok.Overral we got value for what we paid,

The room was a great size for me, my husband and 1 year old daughter. There was a spacious terrace, a kitchen, seating area and a good sized bed. It was perfect for us and a great base for all our activities in Barcelona. We loved it.

Czech RepublicThe door to "balcony" should be better. You can't lock them. They have a lock, but they are built badly and the lock is not locking. You can open the door even if they are locked. The balcony itself was occupied by the external part of the AC unit, so in the hot weather you might except some noise out of it. We did not used AC so I cannot confirm it. On our 3rd floor we had 2 AC units on the balcony, one from our roo and the second from the room on lower level.
Very good location near the Av. Tibidabo metro station (15 minutes travel to Barcelona cite center). It was nice place without any noise from the neighborhood. Rooms are not big but also not small, just as you expect for the room for 2 people. We felt very comfortable there. The location is very near to Tibidabo Amusement Park Funicular station (the cable way). We walked there, because the tram was out of service. Also the Park Güell is in walking distance (about 20 minutes). It is quicker to walk than use metro down to the city (L7) and then back using the different metro line (L3) to go up again.

United StatesThe location is a bit inconvenient because the two metro stations are at least 10-15 minutes of walk. The terrain is a bit tiring for someone like me who is used to flat terrain. The good thing is that there are two metro stations within walking distance.
The hotel is in a quiet, residential neighborhood with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, laundry, and opticians! I had to get my glasses fixed, so I found an optician shop. They fixed my glasses in a jiffy and did not even charge me. It made me feel very relaxed. I also liked the breakfast service every morning. It was a sumptuous breakfast with good coffee, fruit juice, pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. It was brought to my room every morning!

Located in the upper hilly part of the city this property is very well connected to the center by two metro lines. The surrounding area is one of the best to live in BCN: respectable, clean and safe, close to park Guell. The room is spacious and has a large secluded outer zone. 24/7 reception with nice staff.

NetherlandsI felt that the receptionists are overworked and a bit tired most of the time. That makes them look a bit sad most of the time which I was able to contribute to the working conditions. Others may consider that as unwelcoming.
The location of the hotel is very good. It is close to multiple bus and metro stations that allow efficient travel to most places in Barcelona. In addition, the surrounding have different supermarkets that is very useful for families to pick groceries and also a lot of restaurants/cafes for eating out. The room was very comfortable and large with all the facilities one need. It has a very good large size that has a kitchen and bathroom. In addition, the room was cleaned well.

Aparthotel Bertran was excellent for me, as a solo, first-time traveler to Spain. First impressions - it is located on a narrow side street (by US standards). But this is a safe narrow street, with a mini mart, a florist, and a pharmacy just steps away. All day long there are local residents walking dogs or strolling by. It's a nice location. Nearby is the University District. Lots of students, academic buildings and the Science Museum. A couple blocks away are the main avenues with many restaurants and stores. This is a boutique hotel - meaning small lobby, small elevator. 1-person desk. But everything is fine. I strongly recommend ordering the morning continental breakfast. It's beautifully presented, nice china, hot coffee or tea. The room is cleaned each day - new towels, bed made. The room is plenty big. You'll be comfortable with the amount of space.

New ZealandThe apartment walls are not sound proofed and we had neighbour's who didn't go to bed until 1am for two nights in a row and the other neighbour had the TV on so we could hear every word, thankfully they turned it off at a reasonable hour. When the neighbour's changed it was OK.
The apartment was comfortable and daily service was good. Nice to have a lounge area and dining area. Close to the Metro, supermarkets and shops

This was my second longer stay at the Aparthotel Bertran. All the staff are very nice, helpful and cheerful. The cleanliness of the rooms is great. In addition: - special thanks to the boss for helping with luggage lost by the airline during this stay and for keeping the reservation during my first stay despite problems with the Booking website. - special thanks also go to the lady who brings breakfast on weekdays - thank you very much for your kidness, small talks, tasty and hot coffee and croissants. - and additionally, greetings to the young man of Polish origin from the reception. Thank you for the whole nice stay. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in October.
