Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Nice and cozy place. It is an actual apartment with all the corresponding facilities. Really close to the metro station.

SerbiaWe found the mattress and the pillows to be very uncomfortable. Mattress is too firm and dented in some places, pillows very high and firm. Both our necks and backs were sore each morning. Bathroom is small, but functional if you don't use very hot water to avoid steam and if you are careful with the shower (not to get water everywhere on the floor). The apartment has a unique smell, imagine entering an old lady's home and the dense stall air hits you up, but the AC is great and while it's on you can't smell it. The building is old and hallways are narrow, other appts very close you could hear what your neighbors are watching. And you could certainly SMELL everything they were cooking. For most of the time you could smell lamb. The building door lock should be fixed because the key kept getting stuck, on occasion it took us 1-3 mins of wiggling, pushing, pulling both the key and the door to get it open (it doesn't have a secret move to get it open you just keep trying).
Location is great. Right around the corner from the metro station and it takes just 1-2 metro stations to get to the main city attractions. Has all house appliances you might need (washing machine, microwave, filter coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge, induction stove top, pots, plates, frying pan, iron and a small ironing board, small rack to dry your clothes). It has AC. Very clean, neat and nicely decorated.

IrelandAll was ok.
Nice small apartment. I was a solo traveler so it was fine for me. Interesting area. A lot going on. An easy walk to the main areas most people want to see in Madrid.

IrelandOf all the accommodations I stayed during my eurotrip, they were the only ones who asked for a deposit fee. They kept 30€ out of the 100€ we paid because we allegedly stayed for some more minutes after checkout. This value was never agreed and they have zero flexibility, seems like it is just about the money.
Well located

PhilippinesTo collect the keys you would have to walk up a hill with your luggage, even though it's on the same street. There was also a long wait to get the keys because the property is one of many managed by a group (and there was only one person to do the check in). Very inconvenient check in process. The neighborhood is noisy, streets are narrow and sometimes dirty. The bed is a big disappointment, as it is a loft, the ceiling is too low that you can easily bump your head when rising. Bathroom is small, the toilet has hardly any space between it and the shower and trash bin.
Location is close to Lavapies station, about 3 minutes' walk. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and there is a washing machine.

GermanyWe stayed 5 nights in the mini loft. The location is fantastic, very central with access to metro, bars, restaurants and theater. Just take a little extra care with your phone out in the area - just a hunch. In the apartment, we especially enjoyed the A/C, fridge, coffeemaker, and overall the love for detail with which the apartment is decorated. The bed is comfy and stable. As the other comments already mentioned, the bathroom is tiny and can get a bit wet, but honestly, it's not a problem for a few days.
