Swimming pool looked dirty and declined to use it. Only one power socket in the room. Tiny non smart TV. No sound proofing of walls.

Happy helpful staff Free on site car parking. Continental buffet breakfast included and possible very early for last day when catching early flight. Powerful shower despite old fashioned stand in bath format. Cheap evening set menu but you get what you pay for. I recommend asking for Cava which is not necessarily on wine list but is available.

Maybe they could offer better drinks and snacks. And change the tapestry, and the bathrooms.

Yes, the premices and the rooms are a little outdated, but our bed was comfortable, the place is very quiet, the breakfast is definitely fine. The Locos Beach is about 10 minutes away (and a hundred stairs!). Staff was friendly. Carpark available for free.

Room ( 208 at least) needs updating. Only one electric socket. TV was 14" . I have no problem with well behaved dogs, but draw the line when allowed into the swimming pool area.

the room felt cramped, and with the humid climate and no A/C, our clothes wouldn’t dry and smelled terrible by the end of our stay. the bathroom could use a fan too.

Room was fairly small and badly ventilated, the place accepts dogs but suplement is high and there are many restrictions eg. You cannot leave the dog in the room which means you can only go to the dog friendly beach which is so- so

There was no air con & rooms very hot , the noise from youngsters on the beach all night on a Wednesday night plus the heat kept us awake. The hotel needs a refresh inside

The bed is too small because it’s a French bed.

The property is located in a very quiet aerea and you can reach the beach in 20 minutes walking. The breakfast was very good.

Air conditioning in the bedrooms would be lovely.

I've stayed in luxurious 5 star hotels through out the world and Spain but when in Suances always choose the Albatros and always enjoy my stay. Yes, the decor is quirky and the bathrooms a little dated, but the hotel is full of charm. Well located, rural outlook, tho minutes from the sea. Attractive gardens and excellent parking. The reception and the restaurant staff are lovely- so welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The staff are the real jewels in the crown. Dinner is very well priced and whilst not the most exciing or extensive menu - it is tasty and more than adequate. In the last 15 years I have stayed here a number of times en route to the ferry at Santander - I hope to be back many more times.

The staff are very hard working, dinner was fabulous, breakfasts could be a lot better, only continental buffet style available, no ceraels or bacon etc available. Good clean room with very outdated decor. Bathroom good and clean.

the sound. I was able to hear other people discussing from my bed. In addition, all step are hear from your room, even when someone wen into his/her room. You felt as someone else was in your room.

We had dinner there as we arrived around 8pm, having been delayed. Because we had the dog we were placed in the bar hy no ourselves, that was ok cos there was a large coach party! The food was ok, edible but not great stuff, which we’d been used to throughout our stay in Spain😢 €20 for the set menus, including wine, so good value though My highest gripe though, was the A4 sheet about the dog, maybe it was a translation issue…….it could have been worded better!

Location was great, we had travelled across Spain to bc get the ferry home the following day. Pretty town Breakfast was ok, plenty of it!! And included in B the B price. Coffee was good. See below about the food

Initially, the room itself seemed fine, but its en-suite bathroom and toilet had absolutely no ventilation and there was some black mould growing in a couple of places on the ceiling. Overall the room had a slight musty smell, which we noticed when we first went into the room, but which we put down to the fact the room's window was shut. This was a mistake, because it became apparent during the night that the bathroom had a really sickening smell that gradually pervaded the entire room. The only way of reducing the smell in the bedroom was to shut the bathroom door and open the bedroom window wide. Unfortunately this allowed in mosquitos! We did not get a good night's sleep. I advised the guy manning reception in the morning about all this, but maybe he didn't understand my Spanish because all he did was give me the bill. It was a real shame because to be honest other than the smell everything else was fine.

The hotel was easy to find, the staff were pleasant, the facilities looked good, the parking was fine (and free of charge), and the restaurant was open from around 7pm serving a 3-course menu (with choices). And the following morning there was a perfectly acceptable breakfast. But, there was one one big but...

Everything is very old, the lamps in the room were not working, the entire hotel smells like old..like they never open the windows. The food they offer for breakfast was not fresh. I would not spend more than one night in this hotel..

The staff! Very friendly and willing to help. It’s also pet friendly and provides a privet parking.

The facility is old. Toilet smell spread out to the room and we had to ask for changing a room. Probably the building is old so talks and dog barking went through out the wall. For those two reasons I had to put lower rate.

My husband would have preferred a cooked English breakfast

Breakfast was continental and self service. Bottom less tea and coffee. Lovely little hotel in a nice location. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They made us feel very welcome. We had a little table in the bar for our meals as we had our dog with us. We had our evening meal also in the hotel. Very impressed with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
