  • Hotel Montero Review score: 8.8

“Location good. Near to bus station, supermarket. Decor beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

  • A Casa das Augas Review score: 9.8

“We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and offered a home cooked meal. Unfortunately we decided not to take this and this was our regret. The breakfast was wonderful. The location and setting of the house was very pleasant. The mill race and outdoor sitting area made the perfect end to the day.”

  • Camino de Estrellas Review score: 8.7

“As you walk in off the Camino into the Cathedral Square you are met by the wonderful sight of the Cathedral and a square full of restaurants and bars. A welcome sight after a good walk although when we arrived only one or two places were open to serve drinks and basic snacks/food. The hotel was only just a minute's walk off the square so very convenient. The rooms we were given were spacious, comfortable, clean and both had balconies. From mine at the front of the hotel you could see the square and Cathedral. There is a kitchenette downstairs forming part of the reception area where you can prepare some basic food and drinks and there are some tables.”

  • El Albergue del Montero Review score: 9.2

“The albergue is very spacious and provides travelers with privacy. The albergo has a large kitchen with all utensils for preparing meals. A comfortable rest in the two living rooms or in the spacious garden is also guaranteed. My personal favorite was the swing.”

  • A Casa de Mañas Review score: 8.9

“Casa de Mañas is a farmhouse dating from the 1700s but sensitively restored using local wood and stone. The present family are descended from the original builders/owners. I find this both interesting and charming. The setting is rural, amongst treees and within the sound of a babbling stream/river nearby. We were met by a gentleman who showed us around and told us the history of the place and in the morning we were served breakfast by a young man whom we suppose to be his son. Breakfast was standard continental food - bread/toast, cheese and ham, jam, fruit and a homemade cake. We loved the location - though it might not suit people who like to have restaurants and bars just round the corner - and found the house charming and the owners delightful.”
