Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe location is really noisy from early in the morning until late at night - you may have trouble sleeping but this is what Egypt is all about - it never sleeps. Breakfast was everyday the same - they may add some more options so you can have a bit of variety. The food if you want lunch or dinner , was really good but I guess quite expensive ( approximately 20€ per meal ) . You have no access from stairs so you will need to get the elevator to reach 10th floor. Many times the reception was unattended so when we wanted something we had to search to find the stuff.
The staff was very friendly and ready to assist us anytime we needed something. Waleed the driver that brought us to the hotel was very good. Reception staff : Mohammed , Osama and Mostafa were very helpful and always with a smile. Young boy Mohammed , Ahmed and the ladies in the breakfast were also cheerful and kind. This hotel feels like a family as you can notice that everyone helps each other during their working time. The terrace area was stunning , perfect view of pyramids , food very good both in breakfast and in dinner , we also tried some options and they were very tasteful. The room was also clean and nice. Whatever you see in the photos reflects reality.

PortugalWiFi is a bit unstable but seems to be the same in other places in Egypt. Breakfast is good but it's always the same everyday.
It's a nice small hotel as an overall, it has aircon, mini fridge and kettle. The room was big enough and comfortable. The rooftop has a great view of the pyramids, and the staff is very nice, polite and helpful. The location feels a bit dodgy but it's safe and conveniently close to the pyramids, also there are grocery stores next to the hotel.

TurkeyNothing.
The hotel they run is a family hotel and all the employees are incredibly attentive. You can meet all your needs. When you ask questions, they answer you very politely. While the view from the terrace alone is enough to keep this hotel, the friendliness of the staff is a trip you should definitely experience.

EgyptLocation and citizens around but it’s not hotel problem or mistake.
The hotel is very good. We didn’t expect such amazing views (despite the fact that hotel not near the pyramid) our room was on 11 floor with Pyramids directly view. Upon c/in we met lovely receptions who explained everything and show room. Our room was very clean and new, all furniture is new which surprising us. In general hotel small but really clean and new renovated. As well 2 ladies who make breakfast was lovely and kind. The breakfast was oriental but tasty. I will recommend for my friend Thank you for all stuff members (unfortunately we don’t know names) but there 2 nice receptionists and 2 ladies.

United KingdomLocation - taxi drivers struggle to find this location as it is not on google maps. Also it is really far from new Cairo or any of the tourist attractions. We wasted a lot of time battling through Cairo traffic to get anywhere Whilst there is a good view of the pyramids, they are still further than they look! The hotel itself it’s based on the 10th floor, anything below the 10th floor is quite shabby.

United StatesEgypt (in general) was not as clean as I had expected. The traffic was crazy. The area around the Giza Pyramids had major construction.
The hospitality was off the charts, exceptional. The breakfast made you feel like a king. The view from the roof was perfect.

NetherlandsI extended my stay twice. Hard to leave this place. The breakfast is mjam and they also have a restaurant to have dinner ( with the spectacular view @ the pyramids) Next to the hotel is a supermarket for buying other supplies. I felt very safe here , the rooms got airconditioning and I guess quite recent renovated.

The hotel has an amazing (rooftop and hotelroom )view @ the piramides.. secondly and also very important: the family is super friendly and kind. They can help you with everything you want to arrange and need during your stay and constantly take care of cleaning. The most clean hotel I have been in Egypt. Shukran to the whole lovely family.
