The hotel was clean and the staff extremely helpful. The location was fantastic with beautiful views over the Nile. The Guys had a boat available to take us wherever we wanted for a small fee. beds were comfy and the room clean.

The staff Youssef is the best staff that we ever met in EGYPT! He booked all the boat trips for us, the trips were cheap and the captains were exceptionally nice, we had a great time thanks to him!

There is nothing not to like.

The house is very clean with fantastic views of beautiful Aswan all around. The owner Mahmoud is super helpful, works with the best and most reliable drivers on excursions he organises for his guests. We felt completely safe with him and had an amazing experience visiting all the sites in Aswan and Abu Simbel. The ferry takes you directly to the hotel which costs e£10 per trip and there is a 24h shop at the ferry stop on the island. Mahmoud also has a boat and can pick up guests on arrival. He is the best host ever, my mum who is 76 fell ill during site seeing and he and his driver helped us to look after her. We are very grateful. The island is Nubian there is a small village where people are very nice. Men and women has to seat in separate blocks on the ferry which we didn’t know but they kindly reminded us. We were there during Ramadan and at feast time people give you free food and drink in the village to celebrate with them. We loved every second despite my mum being ill for a day.

Single sheet on a double bed only issue with the room which was otherwise clean and comfortable.

Views and location excellent. Accommodation well maintained and clean. Young Yousef always had a smile and was helpful with the boat and access to Aswan and surroundings. The owner was responsive and also helpful in arranging transport to and from the accommodation. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely and we enjoyed the welcome drink.

The only thing that wasn't good , and no fault of our host .. Google maps sent us off in the wrong direction . Mahmoud had messaged us , but I wasn't able to open it. until I got home , people on the Island are friendly and helped us out with directions ! :) Make sure you get Mahmoud's whats app before you travel He can send a boat to collect you ,and take you right to his door :)

What a great find ! I booked a Nile view room , perfect view ! , it was perfect for my needs ! It had a fridge that worked very well , and a great shower ! The place was very clean . Mahmoud was a great host , not in your face, but there to answer any questions you have . Exactly as It should be !

Amazing host, we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcome with a glass of fresh juice. The room was simple but comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was the best we had on all of our trip.

The water ran out once, and we did not get an advance warning for that.

Great location - 1 min from the ferry dock. The warmth of the hosts, everyone was always welcoming. My wife was unwell for a day, they always asked about her and cared for her. Nice breakfast (additional 150 EGP). Beautiful views. The room was cleaned everyday and bed linen was changed (which was wonderful). Great shower pressure.

The property is good... surroundings have flying insects and mosquitos, which is everywhere in that area.

✅The view from the room balcony. It is perfect! ✅ The room is clean. ✅ The owner and staffs makes you feel at home, safe. Great hospitality and kindess. ✅ 3-mins walk to the public boat docks, and also they have private boats. ✅ and you should try the Nubian Egg Omelete, a must! Great breakfast.

The one thing we noticed was that the WiFi was quite weak and couldn’t connect well to our phones when we were in our room. But this didn’t really bother us as everything else was perfect!

We had a great stay at Airkela. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable with a perfect view of the Nile right outside our doorstep. Ali helped provide a lot of information about what we could see around Aswan and Mahmoud took great care of us, ensuring all our needs were met. The location of the guest house is perfect, right on the river Nile on Elephantine Island. It was quiet and peaceful and easily accessible to the ferry dock where you can catch the ferry to the east bank. We felt so relaxed throughout our whole trip and would highly recommend staying here. Thank you to the all the staff at Airkela!

Showering makes everything wet, water does not go away. Sheets should be washed (bit smelly).

A recommendation for the owner to make their service even better: invest in a good coffee machine (either filter-drip or espresso machine) and your foreign (European) guests will be eternal grateful for non-instant coffee with breakfast

Can only recommend this accommodation: 1) friendly host with great connections willing to help you book your trips and tickets; 2) solid wifi; 3) warm water in the bathrooms; 4) DELICIOUS breakfast; 5) Excellent location a convenient 1 minute stroll away from the ferry location when you arrive on the quiet Elephantine island - yes the road is unpaved and the chicken roam free in the area but you are located along the water and it always felt very safe.

We loved our stay here, beautiful location overlooking the Nile, and staff who will do anything for you. Loved the Nile boat ride with Ali, and Mr Mahmoud's breakfast on the roof terrace was superb. The King of Jamaica restaurant is a 2 minute walk away and serves great local food in a nice atmosphere. A great stay, particularly if you are looking for an authentic and local experience.
