Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IranIn reality, it's not a hotel. It's just a good guest house.
The building is too old but clean .WiFi is very strong . It's not in the city centre but has good access to the city centre.

EstoniaWe stayed in a room with ensuite bathroom and that was really... asian-style :D The bathroom is clearly a later addition to the room, which is nice; the walls however are built from thin planks of wood with holes in between, so really there's view inside the bathroom. Not exactly what you'd expect.
I really liked the place - it is nicely renovated old wooden building, with all the old details - windows, floors, stairs. Don't expect a modern hotel with modern amenities - it really IS old. However, very clean, very pretty and comfortable, also cute garden.

FinlandThe price was maybe a bit high for this kind of apartment. You need to go over 1 km to the nearest market and cafe.
Very beautiful, old stylish house with the garden. If you don’t need to stay near the centrum and you want something different and peaceful place to stay then I’d recommend. We liked it.

PolandDue to its construction (old style wooden house) the place is quite noisy at night, the surrounding street doesn't look like it but it is quite busy plus the nearby airport also generates a lot of noise. Still, I don't consider it a disadvantage - the owners can't do anything about it - it's just something to consider when choosing a place so close to the center.
Great location (less than 2 km from the center of Tallinn), free parking on the nearby street. A very charming and atmospheric place (both the house and the garden). Clean room, shared toilets and shower. Nice and helpful owner :)

MoldovaI didn’t like the noise level although I understand that it’s an old wooden house. Would be nice to make some renovation to the shower area. I stayed in the attic room and it was quite cold, that made me uncomfortable. I was gently offered a blanket and a heating device but somehow the heating device didn’t work, so I felt cold at night.
I really appreciated the responsiveness of the host, whenever I had a question she was always ready to assist me in the booking chat. Very nice and gentle treatment. Also, I was very grateful for letting me keep my belongings safe after my check out while I was exploring the city and waiting for my bus. it was easy and very kind. And of course I loved the beautiful garden around the house, bird singing constantly, the impression that I was visiting some close relative in a nice cottage house. My room was very cosy and clean and had all the facilities. I was happy to find free delicious tea as well.

EstoniaThere was no air in the room. Also we could hear every time someone walked in the hallway or used the bathroom. The WC had a really low ceiling, even 1.65m had to be careful not to hit head against the diagonal ceiling.
Self check-in was convenient. Mostly nice neighborhood.

FinlandVegan breakfast served in the garden was super lovely, as well as the multi-language hosts! We appreciated especially that everything worked out very smoothly even though we made a quite late booking on the arrival day. Great communication via Booking messages! The house was well loved and full of history and atmosphere. Clean and well maintained joint showers and toilets. The garden was a truly relaxing and lovely place to start one’s day.

LatviaMy experience at Marta's Hotel was far from pleasant. The pictures on the internet make the hotel look way much better than it actually is. In reality, the "hotel" is an old wooden building that felt uncomfortably damp and smelled of old trashy furniture and mold. The bathroom was horrible with no ventilation and a broken shower cabin that leaked water. For two people, we were only given one towel. The room itself was dirty with uneven wooden floors, making it feel like we couldn't touch anything. Won't even comment the bed. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at, and I can't understand how it can even be called a hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

EstoniaThe delicious vegan breakfast was very enjoyable on the garden terrass. The hostess was extremely attentive and helpful throughout my stay. The interesting story of the building was complemented with lovely design features such as designer wallpapers and furniture made from reclaimed wood. Lovely accommodation with unique design features and homely atmosphere.

FinlandThere was nothing to complain. We didn't need kitchen or place to cooc. But I think its good to know that there isn’t (If you want, you can order breakfast in advance, but we didn't need it).
We loved this place! Lovely old house! It was beautiful, clean and the air was fresh. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The comfort of the guests was clearly taken care of and the house was decorated with love. Here you can really feel lovely peaceful calmness and good energy of this house ❤️
