To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel is very well connected by train and metro. The staff were very accommodating with respect to an early checkin and also it was very easy to store luggage as well.

United States of AmericaWe were given the wrong room so had to go have that changed, the key card readers were not working so every time we had to go to our room we had to have staff come unlock for us, and the twin beds were hard and more narrow than a standard twin bed.
The location close to the train station was perfect. Also, walkable to all key areas in the city. A walking tour even picks up at the hostel. Washer/dryer and luggage storage was quite handy. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Amazing location - so close to central station. Facilities were fantastic - cheap lockers to store luggage; games room; large bar/restaurant. Room was perfectly clean & had all you needed - provided clothes hangers, hairdryer, soap & shampoo.

United States of AmericaMy room was very small and there are no amenities in the room, not even a glass in the bathroom. The pillows were not good and there were only 2. I can’t really say there was anything wrong with the place.
Location right next to Copenhagen Central station. Plenty of restaurants and a couple grocery stores nearby. My room was on the 5th (top) floor and it was quiet except for some street noise.

HungaryIt is not cheap. It is noisy. There was a concert in the hall, and we did not really like that with a tired baby... (The concert itself was good btw... ) All the doors were extremely noisy, you should really lube them from time to time. We could not do anything in the room with a sleeping baby... On the first floor we got cigarette smoke through the windows...
It is really close to the train station! You can rent a bike from the hotel! The staff was really nice.

SpainCleanliness needs to improve. Also we were a family of 3 in a private room but towels, bedsheet, were for 2! You've to keep reminding the staff to add 1 extra or clean daily. Also no air conditioner!

United KingdomMy main problem was that this hostel houses a good couple hundred people at a time, yet it only has 3 washing machines and 2 driers. This meant that there was a massive queue for the washing machines which was frustrating. Also, the breakfast was fine but not as varied as other hostel buffets and if you come to have breakfast after 8:30, it becomes incredibly busy. The rooms were tidy but the bathrooms stank of damp (didn't seem to have any ventilation).
The location is amazing, less than 20mins away from airport by train and close enough to the city centre that you can avoid paying for metro tickets. Lots of seating area both in the bar and in the common room type places and a kitchen with pots and pans so you can make your own food.

PolandThe charging socket assigned to my bed was far from the bed. I know it's not the fault of hostel, but I had a bad experience with one of the women in the room. She screamed at me (and woke up the others..) because I came back to the room after midnight and was quietly getting ready to bed, but then she made noise herself getting up and leaving at 5am, hypocritical... It's a shared room, but some people act like they own a place.
It was just okay. Great location. I spent there only one night so I can't tell more.

United KingdomThe shared spaces, such as lobby, bar, breakfast and kitchen were at times best described as MANIC and unusable as there were so many guests trying to use the same facilities. I felt uncomfortable for this reason and tended to stay on my bed Staff were hit or miss depending on who you spoke to, mixed communication about tours and services etc and attitude in general. The cleaning staff were always lovely and kind.

NetherlandsThere were so much noise going on in the hostel. At 1 AM, in the middle of night, full of glass thrown away in the trash. It takes sometimes more than 10 minutes. In the morning 6-7 AM, some alarm from the facilities are buzzing for 30 minutes. You cannot sleep even though this is the only thing you expect from this hostel.
The location is just next to the train station.
