Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only complaint would be location, but it was still very central with short walk to tube and next to several buses.
The pool, sauna and stem room were a highlight. A beautiful stylish hotel with spa serenity. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and lots of little dread made the difference.

SwitzerlandThe bed was made several times a day, but especially the floor wasn’t very clean. The staff improved over time, there were some really nice people working there during the week, but when we arrived they mostly ignored us. Also the restaurant isn’t big enough to offer breakfast to all of the guest at the same time, especially on weekends. We were told we should just come back in an hour and see ourselves if we find a spot then.
Great breakfast, amazing pool, beautiful room and excellent location. It’s directly at a loud street, but inside the hotel you don’t notice. Only a few minutes away is an extremely charming bar/restaurant/shopping area.

TurkeyAlthough it looks superb having an indoor pool out in the and having all the rooms opening to the indoor yard area where the pool is has its own drawbacks, mainly the extreme moisture and pool smell. The second thing that bothered me the most was shower, shower curtain was dirty and it didn‘t function to keep the water contained in the shower area and as a result the whole bathroom turned into a small pond. Beds were too soft, pillow menu options were not as shown on the menu. Cocktails from he bar were although creative were all overwhelmingly sweet and expensive.
I liked overal athmosphere & ambiance, friendly and helpful staff, 24 h service, clean facilities, kimonos, convenient location and the fact that it is an adults only hotel with no screaming children running around.

Swedenpillows are way to soft. needed 3 of them to keep my head parallel. bed sort of sinks too deep curving the spine. not so soundproof but overall. pool could be a few degrees warmer to compensate the cold air outside of the pool.
lovely decorations. love the petrified wood side tables by the bed.

AustraliaOur check in was delayed, which was compensated with some “jungle dollars” but would have been nice to offer a realistic time frame for room to be ready. We were told 5-10 minutes, but it was almost 40 mins before we were given our keys. Rooms are small and corridors are quite confusing and dark.
The pool is incredible! An oasis in the middle of the city. So magical and definitely needed after a long flight! Staff are so lovely, especially Gaultier at breakfast! He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and included tips on where to eat and what to see.

PolandLack of good blackout blinds; our room was poorly soundproofed - we could hear clearly sounds from the main street. Also we think it would be nice if staff from the reception say “good morning/ Hi ” when entering and leaving the hotel.
Really nice design, nice accessories in the room, spectacular swimming pool area. Good location.

IsraelThe rooms, facilities and lobby are tired and need redecoration. The bathroom had mold in the grout of the tiles which smells wet. The rooms were not well cleaned. Coffee machine not included in the room but the staff brought one with limited supply of capsules when asked.

United KingdomThe sauna and steam room were sub par and lacked privacy. We could see a man showering completely naked and blowing his nose whilst rinsing his mouth. I understand that saunas are shared spaces but my partner and I didn’t not expect to see someone else’s penis whilst in the sauna.

United KingdomWe really liked the hotel and loved the spa/ pool but found it quite wild that we were charged for the crisps that were placed in the room. There wasn’t a price list or a note about the 3x snacks sat by the free waters so it seemed like they were complimentary. We told the staff checking us out that we thought they were included because of this and their response was just ‘oh yeah no they aren’t’. Having spent nearly 500€ a night you’d expect a property not to cheap out on something like crisps- which they charged 5€ for a tiny bag. We wouldn’t have eaten them had we known they weren’t complimentary and leaving on this note made it feel a little sour.
The pool is amazing and worth booking in itself, such an incredible spa and pool. The rooms were also fantastic. Beds were very comfortable.
