Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandCould have provided 2 body soap as there were 2 guests. Very minute though but nonetheless, everything was perfect.
Dan was such a great host. He was very nice and was very approachable. The location was great. Was within the vicinity of the town center. Property was very clean. It was an excellent stay TBH.

Proximity to town. Room very comfortable. Good seating in room. We appreciated clean towels and rubbish removal. Our thanks to the cleaners.

Netherlandsno reception couldnt find any help regarding basic equipments like hair dryer etc. no way to call any help service in the hotel The clearner was adamant we check out at exactly 11.00. we were barely few minutes later because we got delayed from our previous engagement. within 7 minutes, he kept nudging adamantly to leave the room immediately while we were rushing to pack up and leave.

NetherlandsThe bed was clean but the last time they had been dusting was a long time ago. Dust all over the cups and spoons on the desk in the room. There was no soap for showering No possibility for breakfast, maybe I didn't noticed while booking but a good breakfast is always nice to start with

GermanyÅabenraa is a small town, and tourists who come by are also couples who marry in their town hall. One would have expected the check-out hours to synchronize well with the final hours of the wedding ceremonies, but in this hotel, the receptionist (who didn't even wear a name tag) refused to let us have a late check-out, so we had to pay 80 Euros extra for another night just to be able to stay for two more hours. The guy also refused to provide luggage-keeping service. We got the feeling we were disturbing the anonymous service guy.

ItalyBreakfast included was a joke (see pic). Room had no bathroom or shower, just a noisy stinky sink. Bathroom was at the end of the hall, shower at the other end. This was not clearly stated when booking. Room was humid, stinky, and I could not really rest as the floor was squeaky when people moved along the hallway.
I booked this one because of the gym facility, which I could not use as it opened at 9:00 (I went for a 5am jog outside instead, at 3deg C)
