Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe floor boards were excessively creaky! It was impossible not to wake others up during the night if going to the toilet!!! Also, the upstairs bedroom looked lovely, but it had lots of windows and NO blinds/curtains! Very strange.

IrelandJust a couple of technical things (constructive criticism). 1. The unusually loud creaking of the floorboards as one walked on them, no matter how softly. Annoying during the day, but all the more at night. Floor mats were no help. The attic floor was fine, but everywhere else, the wooden floor needed urgent remedial work (such as: lift the floor boards and pad them from underneath and re-fit). 2. The front door was often left not locked properly and sometimes swinging open. The rather loose locking system on the door seemed to be prone to this happening. Not easy for some users to know that they hadn't closed the door properly. I think a notice asking guests to check they had locked the door properly would help, - - or install a better lock.

United KingdomFloor board noise- very creaky making it very hard to move around the apartment wothout possibly annoying the occupants of the lower apartments! The car parking spaces - if you were unfortunate to park beneath the large conifer there was a problem with copious amounts of Pigeon 'poo' covering car by the next morning, necessitating cleaning the car before you can use it! A hose pipe was available to help with cleaning.
Its location to the city centre. The surrounding area was quiet in general. We had the top apartment and so had good views all around. The apartment was spacious for 7 guests. The kichen was well equipped and the bathrooms were spacious and tidy.

United StatesThe main bedroom had a smell in the room, as well as the bedding. The sheets and pillows smelled of body odor. We believe there were clean sheets, but the odor from the actual pillows and bed was unsatisfactory. Wife couldn't use the pillow, as the smell was too much. The room had a faint smell of cat urine or a litter box. Floors were extremely creaky, but we understand that can not be fixed and it was part of the charm of the beautiful building.
Beautiful apartment with lots of space. Amenities were good. Appreciated a washer/dryer after traveling for 1 week, with another week ahead of us. Many fans to help with hot summer temps. Beautiful building and landscape outside. The apartment seemed to have everything one would need to be comfortable for many days.
