The breakfast was not up to the expectations. The variety of food was quite small. There were scrambled eggs, but no bacon or sausages (which is typical for an EU breakfast). The coffee was just filter coffee!! Well, for the price (80€/night), I expected a bit more. There is free WiFi, but it didn't reach our room. To make it worse, there is also no cell service. Maybe it's because our room was at the end of the building, but they should've thought about at least giving proper WiFi. When we checked in, the receptionist said that our card would be automatically charged. When we checked out, we left the keys and wanted to leave. But (a different) receptionist said/lashed out at us saying that we have to pay. I tried to explain but he was a bit harsh. Oh well, our German is also not the best, so there might have been a bit of a misunderstanding. There was a billiards table and a table tennis table, but we couldn't find the necessary equipment (billiard balls, sticks, rackets), and the reception was already closed (around 10 pm) to ask for them.

The location is perfect! It's located right in front of a river and a hiking trail. The room is small but comfortable enough. There was open parking in front of the hotel, but finding a spot was a bit hard.

Wifi… we’re on the third floor and zero signal! Wifi is only downstairs we’re reception and restaurant is!

Small fridge needed for room particularly during the hot summer. Poor wifi signal.

Room was good although very dated. Breakfast was fine with reasonable choice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This property had an excellent bicycle cellar where each bike had its own electric plug so you could recharge the bike.

The swimming pool was not working but I only learnt this upon arrival. Check-in and breakfast were a bit chaotic, it seems understaffed. The manager has good intentions and is very polite, but I expected more professional service for this value. The mattresses were quite used in our room.

The location was great as you could directly start hiking from the hotel. There is a Sauna! Staff is very friendly.

The hotel has wonderful surroundings and access to nice hiking spots. The rooms have had some renovations but overall it's mostly old style furniture and decoir. The room was very clean though and spacious, and made for a comfortable stay. It's overall a good value for money.

No tea kettle or working hair dryer in the room. Dinner buffet was not that tasty.

Great localisation just at the entrance to Brocken trail. Staff is very friendly. Low price and good breakfast.

The room was very small. Also realized later we paid for a room with 2 king-size double beds, but have only got a room with one double bed.

Top location- right at the entrance of the hiking trail. Friendly staff and dogs are allowed.

What a Jem ! Having hiked for 4 hrs I was relieved to find that the restaurant was open to 8pm Great choice, very friendly hospitality!! Big spread for breakfast included in price , best hotel I have stayed in and excellent value for money 5*

Very nice and comfortable hotel, quiet and clean rooms, tasty breakfast, and very welcoming staff! The hotel is perfectly located if you want to go hiking.

There was no hot water in the shower and the water changed from cold to warm and from warm to cold every few seconds. A hairdryer stopped working after a couple of minutes of using it. We wanted to play a pool but there were two balls missing.

Personal was friendly and polite.
