The building was at one stage grand but now looks somewhat unloved as was the room. The stairs are carpeted with about 500 metres of masking tape and the room carpet was stained and very worn. The room was very hot and the only control we seemed to have was leaving the windows open for a week - not great for the environment but I feel that I contributed to Berlin's unseasonably warm week! Room servicing was a little haphazard and two teabags were the only offering although a kettle was provided.

This hotel is in a great location, close to several underground stations and a mainline rail station. It is a 5 minute walk from the zoo and is situated in a major shopping area. There are endless good restaurants, to suit every taste, within easy walking distance. The en-suite bathroom was very modern and above average for a hotel at this price. Room contained a fridge and safe and the bed was comfortable. Some Staff were considerably more helpful than others!

Positive Surprised! Very clean, excellent shower, good location. We were a bit unlucky by our neighbors - a group of teenagers very loud - but nothing to do with the property.

It's noisy outside so it's hard to sleep with the windows open. The location is finr because there are lots of restaurants around but it's pretty far from most of Berlin's attractions.

The room was not very big but it had everything that you need during the short trip. The beds were quite comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel provides towels and there is a kettle in the room.

The biggest issue for us was that the walls were pretty thin. We could hear people talking and opening and closing doors. Also the ventilation in the room was not good, it got really stuffed and warm but thankfully we could open the balcony and get fresh air inside.

It is in a very good location, close to shopping, restaurants and public transport. The reception was always open and we could store our bags all day after checking out. Our room also had a really nice balcony with a great view.

Not a problem but the lift does not go from ground floor to room level, you will have to climb at least 2 flights in total to check in and get to your room

Great location close to the Zoo with U Bahn, bus, local and regional trains at all hours. Friendly welcome. Good sized room with a fan included was helpful in the warmer weather.

Not sure if this is because we got a room on the top floor (hence only rooftop windows in the room), but the windows were not openable at all. Hence, it could feel quite stuffy inside the room without the AC on. And the internet connection is unreliable at best, and not unusable/unreachable at all at worst, which was what happened to me and my friend throughout most of our stay there. Even when we managed to connect to the internet, connection was so slow that we barely managed to use google.

The location was really nicely situated in the center of the shopping district. However, it is quite far from central berlin (where a lot of the tourist hot spots were). There is an AC in the room so heat isn't a problem (we didn't use the heater as it was middle of the summer so can't comment on how well it works). The staff seems to be friendly. The free taxi service from the airport to the hotel is also very much appreciated/handy.

The area is a bit noisy, the rooms of the neighbors can be heard. But we counted on that, because it's a big city that never really sleeps.

The room was too hot in the afternoon and the air conditioning barely worked. In the morning it was bright and without curtains it was impossible to sleep.

There are many stairs to arrive to reception and to the room through a narrow snail stairs, very hard with a young daughter and 2 big suitcases.
