Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GreeceBathroom had issues with flooding sink and leakage from showerhead. One more seating item was missing as only chair wasnt enough for the two of us. We both disliked seating on the fine beds.
Warm staff at reception at all times. Cosy sauna downstairs. Apples and candies at reception with welcome drink. Fine mattresses. Handy fridge. Shampoo was of good quality. No noise from other rooms. Proximity to supermarket and shops. Luggage was kept before and after check-in. All fine apart from the 2 bathroom issues we faced and the missing chair or stool in the room.

NetherlandsThe design of the hotel didn't really correspond to the pictures online. The WiFi connection was incredibly slow. The hotel is extremely close to the station, which is convenient, but that area is just not nice.
I was allowed to check in earlier and check out later than the standard time. The receptionist was very friendly. The speaker was a great addition.

SingaporeWhile being near the train station is a positive, the area is quite seedy and there are guys who hung around Niddastrase. It is advisable to walk to the hotel via Poststrase and Ottostrase
Christian, the reception staff, was especially friendly and welcoming when i checked in. He was helpful with providing a kettle when i asked for one. The location is pretty convenient, being near the main train station.

JapanDedicated Parking is in another building 150m away, but it's safe and good. Some minor soundproofing issues and just 1 slow elevator, but also okay for an old 5 story building. Thanks for a great stay.
Great friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, even tho it's near dodgy railway station area. Nice room...balcony with view on 5F, was really nice. Sauna area was also great.

United KingdomWe did not get the breakfast but for what I've saw is included, it seems to be over priced. Breakfast for two in the hotel comes close to €40 and an excellent dinner outside with drinks comes just over €50 for comparison.
Location was great very close to the station and the staff was very nice, helpful and welcoming. They recommended an excellent restaurant to go in the evening. All great! Even balcony view.
