Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaAbout that kitchenette….don’t expect any pots, pans or kitchen utensils other than two forks, two knives and ONE spoon. But the coffee/tea service was well supplied, so we made tea. Sort of shoots down the upgrade, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? Oh, and when I called to ask about the wifi (couldn’t find the password) the in room phone was broken and my cell call to the front desk was cut off. On walking down to the desk, there was complete unconcern about the phone. But I got the wifi password!
It was convenient and I was unexpectedly upgraded to a suite with a full kitchenette.

SwitzerlandRoom was overpriced due to the Adele Concert nearby. TV is limited to German channel with almost 0 non-German channels available. No AC. The area surrounding the hotel is an industrial one with no restaurant or shops but only 2 strip clubs. The metro U2 is a 10 minutes walk through a small park which I would not recommend if you are a girl alone.
Rooms are spacious and offer all necessary amenities. Bed is comfortable.

France1. Our shower experience in room 288 was disappointing. The showerhead height adjustment was broken, making it impossible to adjust. Additionally, regulating the water temperature was difficult, likely due to a faulty mechanism. Moreover, the body lotion dispenser was empty. I strongly recommend that the hotel enhance its bathroom maintenance and inspection procedures to prevent such issues. 2. The hotel lacks air conditioning, which is generally acceptable, but during our stay, the outside temperature reached over 30°C, making our stay less enjoyable.
The room was big and clean, and the hotel's staff were friendly. it was quiet and calm, the breakfast was really good - also, there is an adorable garden full of light with wonderful blooming hortensias.
