Do not forget to look our for the e-mail that is sent on the day of entry if arriving after hours as this contains important arrival information. This information was also available via Booking.com app but buried deep in hotel information pages..

Excellent location in centre of historic Wetzlar; Breakfast was very nice and it was great to sit outside next to the bridge over the river Lahn in the hot weather while we were there. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful. Sparkling bottled water in room was a much appreciated! Additional drinks available from fridge in reception.

You can hear people walking as it’s not as modern as other hotels. Didn’t bother me mich but we got lucky as we could have been with chatty / noisy people and have a rough time. Especially since there is no one at the reception.

The location of the hotel in the old part of town is stunning.. However, it is the scale, scope and quality of the completed renovation works that needs to be applauded,. The renovation project of a property from 1661, to bring it up to modern standards has been conducted exceptionally well. The hotel staff (especially Rico) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful,

The location was perfect - romantic by the river, near the old town, quiet and everything in walking distance. The rooms were renovated and decorated with so much love and detail, the beds were comfy. Breakfast was made freshly on request - we had a wonderful time!

I think the hair dryer is too small and without enough power. A different model, 5 EUR more expensive in purchase price, would make a big difference in comfort.

I really liked the easy self-check-in. There's also satisfying parking instructions (public parking close-by, direct access for unloading possible). The hotel has been renovated with attention to detail and now has a nice modern rustic charm that I really enjoyed. During my stay, everything was nicely quiet. People with disabilities should remember that this is an old house with a rather narrow and steep staircase, but you don't ask for a beach at a mountain hotel either, do you? (So that's no criticism, just a point of awareness.) This next thing as a positive experience because of the hotel's reaction: It's a little oversight that the WiFi password is only placed in the key pick-up area. If you don't see it (I didn't), you only notice it on the room. I left a hint on this to the hotel owners during my check-out and they are likely going to change that.

Difficult, uneven stairwell to get to our room with twisty corners. Difficult with luggage. No lift. Very tiny rooms. No space. Slanted roofs. So difficult to manoeuvre inside the room. Beds pushed up against the wall againts slanted roof so difficult to get into second bed against the wall under slanted roof. No blackout curtains. Very hot in the room. Would not recommend.

This hotel was in a great location and had historical character. Had lovely views from our room of the river.

Breakfast took the piss - 15 euros for very weak drlect7oj. Good location. Lovely staff, but entry and check in with pin. Didn't sleep that well, beds not so comfy. But no problem with small rooms - I found the beams charming
