The hotel is an old castle that once was lived in by monks. It has lots of charm, and has been decorated and refurbished to a high standard. The room was spotless, the bathroom was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here.

Not much food option in town for dinner the night we stayed and no option of dinner in the hotel. We did find a good pizza and pasta place but it was a takeaway with one table inside, delicious though! They did put out cake/croissant type snacks, fruit and coffee etc for whenever you liked in the hotel. There was also an honesty book and a fridge full of beer and drinks which was super!

Great hotel for an overnight on route to Phantasialand after a very long drive from Calais (literally about a mile away!) Very welcoming and room had everything we needed for one night in a lovely setting! Friendly and helpful check in!

Despite putting up the sign to clean the room, it was unfortunately not cleaned upon our return in the evening. Problem was that we were out of soap, so really need the room to be “cleaned”. But one call (reception was closed) fixed our issue, as someone appeared and gave us the soap 😊.

Close to Phantasialand Excellent breakfast with a good selection of warm and cold dishes to choose from. Free water is a plus Peaceful and quiet surroundings

Very nice room with good bed. Cushions were slightly soft. The breakfast was excellent. Good reception outside office hours with key in safe which I could open with special code received via SMS.

Huge room for our party of three, welcoming staff, a convenient bar service and a nice breakfast. Ideally located to visit Phantasialand, a must-see theme park.

We arrived at the hotel from a 3 hours drive when we arrive, there were some food that was available in the reception area. The staff are nice and location is clean with a lot of trees and plants that looks refreshing.

The floor of the shower cubicle is very slippery, be careful. Our showerhead was leaky but it's a shower and it still worked.

The location is perfect, very quiet yet close to Phantasialand. The rooms were nice and clean, there was a free dinner snack buffet, and a really nice breakfast. We only stayed one night and it was perfect. It's also really impressive how well everything has been restored after the hotel lost so much of its infrastructure and furniture from a major storm in 2021. My parents thought their pillows were too soft but if you need anything, ask the very kind staff! They are really happy to assist and made us feel like our experience truly mattered.

Only German language TV stations Seems like a Work in Progress. There was some construction happening while we were staying but it didn't affect our stay.

Easy Check In. Great location very close to Theme Park (Phantasialand) Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Large Room. The German Honours system :D There was a fridge with beer and soft drinks that you could take and write down your room number and then this was charged at check out. This also included free bottles of still or sparkling water. The surrounding area is lovely and has so much potential.

The hotel is located in a town where there is nothing to do. we stayed there because we visited Phantasialand the next day, but we couldn’t find any cafe or restaurant (except 1 tiny tiny pizzeria) in the town. We ordered sushi with a home delivery app because the hotel has like 1 meal prepared, which was schnitzel. So if you don’t like what they make for the day you don’t have a lot of options.

The room was very pretty and clean. The hotel looks nice as well
