Facility is a bit dated. Blue bathroom tiles reminded me of my childhood dating to the 70s.

Perfect location close to lake and the center of town. I would rate the Breakfast as excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Everything was okay until we went back at 2pm to get our bags. The man at reception refused to refill my water bottle (tap water)! How petty & he was impolite to boot.

I guess they can provide at least a glass in the room for drinking water. Also, the curtains in the bathroom could be better, as the shower area was small, the curtains keep sticking. Also, I think you are allowed to sit in the common area only for breakfast.

The location was great and the view outside the hotel was amazing. The staff was friendly and let me check-in early.

The older staff member on duty in the evening who seemed to think he was a comedian. After a long hot stressful day of train travel we arrived at 8pm, 2 hours later than stated on Booking.com, which due to travel stress I forgot to change. For a B&B run by an individual I would understand why this would be a problem but not for a hotel. Instead of asking if we were ok or anything had happened, the staff member started making jokes like our room was no longer available because of this delay. This should also not have been a problem, it would have been paid whether we showed up or not. After we eventually established that we still had a room, he then gave us the room introduction in German, and only *after* watching me translate for my mother, told us all the other languages he could have done it in. The overall impression was extremely unprofessional and at that point in the day neither of us appreciated having to play silly buggers with Basil Fawlty's Swabian cousin. Without this experience we would give the place a 9 or 10 and definitely recommend it. With it, I think I will stay somewhere else next time.

Nice room with a lovely view. Great location, everything we need in a 2 minute walk. Very good breakfast. We were offered a room upgrade with a balcony and great view. The kind lovely staff member with the beautiful smile on duty in the mornings, who went a long way to compensate for the behaviour of his colleague.

I had to pay in cash for a 1 night stay. Strange. Nearly all bars and restaurants in town (Titisee) closed at 6 o’clock on a long (Ascention day) weekend on the Friday evening. Hotel could have warned us about this bizarre custom.

Breakfast was surprisingly good for a small hotel. Really nice. Good location, quiet but directly near the Titisee. Very friendly proprietor.

The bathroom didn't have any hand soap. But since I always carry my own wherever I go, it wasn't a big issue for me.

The location is very close to the central station yet very quiet. I liked the traditional atmosphere of the hotel. There is a balcony with the rooms, so I could enjoy the view of the snow from my room :)

The location itself seemed to close down very early with all restaurants and bars shutting shop extremely early in the evening. This needs to change as it would put me off going back.

Everything about the hotel was great. The hosts were lovely and the breakfasts were very nice too. I especially enjoyed the eggs. Not sure what the dressing was that was on them but they were delicious. Their is an off street car park at the rear fo the hotel which was great for my motorbike.

Stuff and owner is really friendly and really caring. When I have tummy ache, the owner offer me warm water in the warm bottle with Camille tea and honey and he also said that I should also eat a bit bread whenever I feel hungry and shouldn’t leave my tummy empty or else it’ll get worse.

Booked a 'deluxe' room, and was given a 'budget' room. Spoke to the owner, who refused to help or issue a refund. This hotel is extremely expensive for what it is, and doesn't actually have any deluxe rooms. You should be aware the the owner died shortly after our stay, so hopefully the new owner will improve things, but I'd still recommend you go elsewhere.

Good central location, but I'd avoid Titisee if you can as it's just one big tourist trap
