Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We didn't realize this is one of the Relais & Châteaux hotels before we arrive, and we're totally satisfied after arrival. Pretty nice holiday getaway hotel with good location, view, facility and friendly staff. There is a gift riesling in the room(yes of course, this is Geisenheim, riesling is the reason that brought us here), and it is a pretty tasty one. The hotel has a fine restaurant attached to it, but we didn't have a chance to try due to reservation issues.

United StatesArrived on a Saturday at lunch time and was informed that no dining was available for lunch or dinner due to two weddings. Inexcusable to check into a Relais & Chateau property that offers no dining accommodations for their guests for two meals, lunch and dinner. If a property wants to be a wedding factory, be that and close to all but wedding parties and drop the pretense of being a luxury Relais & Chateau member. I had reserved a large suite and two additional rooms and when our party of 5 arrived after 12 hours of travel and asked about lunch, the reception just shrugged as if was to be expected that there would be no food service for paying guests on a Saturday. Did not offer room service or any alternative.
Beautiful location, great breakfast and satisfying meal at Burg Restaurant, when it was open.

United KingdomBreakfast was lovely with a beautiful view over the vineyard. I would recommend booking the restaurant on site - well worth a visit. The area itself has a lot to do with the small towns full of nice places to eat and lots of Weinguten surrounding the hotel, one or two hours walk in any direction. The location was perfect to explore the area. Our room was very spacious and luxurious - it looked out right onto the countryside, had a very comfy bed, and a very fancy bathroom!

GermanyIt's a 5-star hotel, but it lacks those special touches, which you would expect from a 5-star hotel. One can live without spa/wellness, but that's what you would expect in a 5-star hotel. Okay, there's no swimming pool, fair, but at least sauna, or is it too much to ask? There could be more bottled water as well. These are trifles, but nice touched. What we didn't like is the evening restaurant -- overpriced for this level of cooking. It is an okay restaurant, but not the value for money one can expect.
Location is nice, green, just you need to have a car for your stay. Breakfast is phenomenal, not just food, which is great, but first of all ambience and a breathtaking view from breakfast terrace. Rooms spacious and modern, beds comfy. On balance, this is what you expect from a hotel of this class.

The location and restaurant. The staff in the restaurant were wonderful, especially for my senior Mom. The surroundings couldn't have been better.
