Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandYou get what you pay for. Then again for €90 euro you would hope the room was a bit bigger than the width of the bed.

LithuaniaNo noise cancelation, you can hear what people are doing 2 rooms away. The pillows were very very uncomfortable, did not have any cushioning inside of them, it was like sleeping on a towel or blanket.
The location is convenient.

AustraliaToilet paper and soaps ran out and were not replenished. Bathrooms were not regularly cleaned. The towels provided are very little, I would recommend bringing your own towel, soap, and toilet paper. Some of the other guests were really loud and ran amok - made using shared bathrooms unpleasant.
The place was well located and comparatively affordable (in terms of Berlin prices). Check in was easy and the place felt secure.

PolandOne of the legs of pufa was broken and there was some plastic bottles under the bed. Definietly whoever cleans the room needs to look around more. I even found some conins under the bed - not a complain ;-)
The place is kept nice and welcoming. The staircase is nicely decorated. Room and bathroom clean and definitely enough for a short stay , where you dont spend much time inside, even with kids. Beds and pillows very comfortable! Quiet area for Fri night during summer holidays.

LatviaThe room is very small indeed. And the price is a bit high for such a room. 25-30 euros would be reasonable.

UkraineThe location is not good, the area is not good, you have to go to the center with transfers. There was a broken ladder in the bunk bed.
An interesting building. A good cheap option. The room is clean and big. The toilet and shower are not private, but clean and nice. There are grocery stores nearby. There was a sink in the room. There was soap and shower gel in the room and in the shower.

ItalyThe room was very small, considering we were two in a room that was theoretically for three, we were very cramped. Bad reception and zero services from the host. When we arrived he explained that the keys to the apartment were inside a gray box next to the entrance door and that to get them all you had to do was insert a pin and at check-out we would have to re-enter them. He did not speak English well and we mistakenly understood that every time we went out or returned we just had to put and take the keys by inserting the pin. In doing so we remained away from home because the garage did not give us the keys. We called the host who, threatening us, told us that we would have to pay 80 euros for a taxi for him to come or we would have to wait for the next morning (and spend the night in the middle of the street). After several attempts and a long wait, a "friend" of his came to open us. The solution could have been very easy and diplomatic but he preferred to try to scam us. Complete abandonment of the structure and the customer, we were treated very badly without even receiving an apology. The responsibility of the place belongs to him, in four days of stay we saw him 3 minutes. Thankfully the room was clean but I swear I would never stay here again. The area is not that great, there is nothing.
The room was clean. the only good thing is the excellent bus and metro network
