Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe hotel was hot. I believe the heaters were still on. The awning on the balkony worked and than it didn't and than it started working again. The hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work.
The staff was amazing, very friendly and kind. Helpful. beautiful view from everywhere in the building. Rooms were clean and comfy.

SwedenThe reception staff was kind and friendly, but we felt that they weren't completely up-to-date with information. Upon arrival, we inquired about the tennis court. The receptionist was enthusiastic and ready to provide us with rackets, but we decided to hike and play tennis the following day. The next morning, we woke up early, excited to play, only to be informed by a different receptionist that the court is only open from May. We then decided to take bikes into town instead. She confirmed that two bikes were available. After asking for five minutes to change into more appropriate biking gear, we returned, only to be told, 'Oh, I forgot that one of the bikes is reserved for someone else.' Seeing our disappointment, she mentioned that there was one extra bike, but warned that its brakes might not work well. We took that bike. Overall, the staff were extremely kind; it was just an unfortunate situation. Another issue was the dinner restaurant. Again, the staff was lovely, but the food was quite overpriced and underwhelming. You will find better options in Freiburg.
Set in a beautiful location within the Black Forest, this hotel is fantastic for hiking enthusiasts! It also offers rental bikes, perfect for exploring the city. The room was spacious and featured a wonderful balcony. Additionally, we absolutely loved the indoor pool!

GermanyThe mould in the corner of the wall in the pool area looked a bit grim and needs attention. We also though the pictures displayed in the staircases look very strange and do not fit with the overall design of the hotel. Both, however, did not lower the overall good time we had during our stay in the hotel.
Amazing view, wonderful breakfast, nice room with very comfortable beds and a great balcony. We also used the pool (great view from here, too) and the sauna. We very much enjoyed our stay. We also loved the fact that breakfast is available until 11am and check out is at 12 pm. Parking the car was nor problem, there is enough free car parking space along the road and in front of the hotel.

The hotel's location was perfect. You can see all of Freiburg from above and many hiking trails are right next to the hotel. Bike rentals are available and we cycled in the Black Forest's trails and even took them all the way to the city center. Very enjoyable. Moreover, for two days in a row, I opted to eat dinner in the hotel's restaurant rather than elsewhere. Comfortable setting, delicious food (I ate the Sea bass two days in a row), and attentive staff.

The location is very nice. We travelled with our dog and he was everywhere welcome. The morning walk could just start behind the hotel because the forest is reaching the hotel.
