There are a lot of internal construction going on and hence the water pathways were jammed at our room. Luckily after we told the helpdesk, we received an alternative room.

The location and the services were very good. The staff were always there to help us, even late at night.

The staff was just okay. I would really appreciate it if there was a small fridge in the room to keep our drinks cold and fresh. A few more amenities would be very useful too like a piece of paper and a pen in the room. I think it's really necessary that they add air conditioning in the rooms as the day was warm and they have a moquette. The moment we walked in the room we felt a warm wave of air and we instantly had to open the windows. Luckily it got cooler later at night and it was windy. So we were able to keep the temperature lower and sleep with windows open.

Location could not be better. One does literally have everything right on his feet. Supermarkets, restaurants, public transport. The main station is just around the corner. The beds are quite comfortable and the room was very clean. Would definitely recommend staying there and of course I'll come back in the future. Looking forward to how the hotel looks after renovations are finished. Just a few more features in the room (fridge and small details like paper and pen) and it could become the perfect accommodation. Did not try the breakfast but have heard it's delicious. Will definitely book the breakfast service next time.

It can be confusing the fact that the hotel has actually two names, but in reality it is the same. Finding your own room can be a little bit tricky since there are many halls.

Location is perfect. The room is actually big and very comfortable. It is a great place to spend one or several days in the city.

The actual area in the hotel where our room was was somewhat 'plain' compared to the rest of the hotel and no view from the window (just of another part of the hotel). - Also, in the breakfast area, they have made great use of a limited space, but on one side, the area between where the hotel guests sit and the tables where you pick up your food from the breakfast buffet was a little bit on the narrow side (not enough room for 2 people comfortably to pass each other - at one point I had to quicky 'jump' out of the way to avoid someone who himself had to move quickly to his right to avoid a child who wasn't particularly looking where they were going).

Location excellent - only a few minutes walk from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, the German Football Museum and the city centre. - Staff very friendly and very helpful - a couple of the younger staff surprisingly spoke somewhat limited English (though their English is better than my German of course!) though there were no communication problems. - The decor and the furniture in the hotel lobby was spectacular - we thought we'd come to wrong place at first! - Breakfast was very nice and real value for money. - Good lighting in our room and excellent showering / toilets facilities (bathroom nice and clean etc).

A cheap corner of a larger, more distinctive hotel. Room was not dirty, but it was a bit shabby. Not amazingly warm on a winter night.

Convenient location in between station and opera house, an easy stroll from central Dortmund. Perfectly serviceable room. Nice hotel bar.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovation and dirty carpets may be replaced in all rooms. the carpet in my room very dirty, the room looks tired of life(if you know what i mean). the bathroom had been completely renovated(good modern design), but the smell of urine lingered in it.

very polite smiling and helpful staff. perfect location - close to the station and close to shops and restaurants. the hotel has a wonderful decor, beautiful chandeliers and decorations in the reception and bar. I hope that after the renovation is completed, the rooms will look better

Breakfast coffee machine. It was alright. Initially we looked for a hot chocolate option, but there is none. 2 colleagues found there were not sufficient options. I am an ex-hotelier and would from my point of view just suggest that you spread the breakfast out more, make it look like more. At reception there were 3 staff, but only one doing the check-in, whilst there is a queue. No eye contact, no explanation, not sufficient attention to the guests at that point.

Room was functional but great. OK the safe didn't work, but otherwise all was good. I would have added a few more hangers and I am not sure if an iron is available. As it was a short stay, it was OK for me. The lady at the cocktail bar was really friendly and provided great drinks as well.

I also had parking reserved and when I arrived at the hotel they told me that the parking is full. At 8 pm, I searched another parking spot in the area to let my car :(.
