It appears they been renovating during our stay. In the entrance, there was an odd funk, typical to a very old house. It takes a very long time until hot water comes in the shower, and as I was finished, I noticed the shower drain isn't draining very well, the seal is not fitted right, so the water was going out. The water ended up reaching all the way to the toilet, on the other side of the bathroom, as I walked out. I thought the price was a bit high during a renovation.

The bed was comfy and clean, breakfast was alright - eggs were perfectly made, but there's only "sunny side up". The room was spacious, as was the bathroom and a very big shower. Staff is helpful and friendly. We only stayed overnight, but for people who want to stay longer, it's perfect for hikers, for the area is surrounded with beautiful forests and creeks. There's a swimming pool and a biotope about 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel. We haven't had the chance to try the food at the restaurant, but I heard good things about it.

Although the hotel advertises it has parking, this is very limited. There is also a bowling alley on site, with locals driving there and needing parking too, so there is definitely not enough parking for the bowlers and the hotel guests. The hotel had something of an 'unfinished air about it, which I imagine the owners are aware of and will be doing something about when they can. For example, the area around the door frame had a cavity all round it and you could see the insides. It needs a cover. See attached photo. Suggestions for improvement would be towel hooks in the bathroom and a grab rail in the shower. So nothing that should prevent people from staying there, rather, suggestions for an even better experience.

Very clean, with an excellent and plentiful breakfast. Friendly staff

The inside of the building, the showers and the tap. Be careful and gently open the tap when you use it on room 105. Not a good place for family.
