Rooms were a bit outdated. Very firm mattress on the beds we had. Pretty typical of German hotels I've stayed in before.

Staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Breakfast was great, what a wonderful selection! Rooms very clean. Bar served until late which was really appreciated after our late arrival. Great value overall!

The hotel was surprisingly good for the price. It is close to Hermannplatz U-Bahn Station and several bus stops, so it’s easy to get around the city. I was able to get everywhere I wanted to go within 45 minutes, including the airport. The area of the U-Bahn station is a little rough looking but I had no bad experiences, even though I went out at night too. The hotel staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. I highly recommend this hotel!

All the room doors are open after cleaning to let them air however my room really smelt of smoke and I have asthma, after closing the door and opening the window the smell disappeared as it must have come from the hallway. I think but opening the window may have let in quite a few mosquitoes but this is not the hotels issue. I found the pillows very strange as they were folded into themselves? But the were still comfortable. I had sparkling water in my room but would have like still as the default. The area the hotel is in didn't feel very safe at times as this seems to be an area less populated by German locals and had quite a few homeless/ questionable people walking around. However the walk from the train station to the hotel is one straight line along a main road with restaurants and not far at all so didn't feel unsafe.

Female 27, First Time Solo Traveling. Staff were very helpful, I was able to leave my case before checkin time and after checkout time while I explored. I felt safe in my hotel room. The room is very old fashioned in design but it was very clean and did the job. I told the staff member at breakfast that I was vegan and would just have the oats and bread with spears from the buffet but he came out 5 mins later with a tray of vegan friendly veg spreads, butter, cheese & meat alternatives and different plant milks. This really made me feel well looked after and like I got my value for money. I am a veryyy light sleeper and was not woken up once :)

The water on the sixth floor was unstable, when someone from the below floors was using shower the water sometimes just suddenly stopped

The interior needs an update, and the room was way too small for all the furniture. It was not comfortable nor functional.

The staff was beyond great! Everyone I met was nice and truly helpful. Easy access from the U-bahn.

Would've been good to have aircon but that's not so much a thing in Berlin - and there was a fan which made up for it. I also wish there was a way to keep the windows open - the mechanism meant they'd naturally close. But both things were so minimal!

The location was great, right near a train station. The room was large and comfortable - the shower was great too! There was a free breakfast every day which was delicious, too. The room came with a stand fan which was really appreciated.

No AC meant the windows were open all the time. Sleep was difficult due to the vehicles roaring up and down a large road, emergency sirens from time to time, and loads of noisy people outside. There were also mosquitos to contend with, not good when you have little resistance to bites. The bathroom was tiny, and the WC was positioned that you hit your heel on the shower tray often when seated. The hotel was a great location for my business, but the surrounding area needs urgent attention from the local authorities, but it is a challenge they are not meeting at present.

The hotel is friendly and welcoming. The facilities are good value for money. The room was a decent size with space to sit and read, work on a laptop or script or even watch TV. Plenty of space to hang clothes and put on the shelving in the wardrobe. The breakfast room was nicely laid out with plenty of tables, the space extended into the garden which was very nice. The choice of food was brilliant catering for all people I imagine. The food quality was superb.

Weather was extremely hot and unfortunately there was no air conditioning in room. But saying this, it is Berlin, and to fit air conditioning into rooms may not be financially viable. I did close the curtains in the morning so as not to let the heat of the sun in the room but when we were out the cleaning lady opened the curtains and the second window so heat was allowed to penetrate the room. If I saw her before we left in the morning I would have asked to leave the curtains closed.

Buffet breakfast was excellent, catered for all tastes including vegan options, and the eating area was lovely. Exceptionally clean and I loved the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious with enough room to put all your belongings away. The hotel was very easy to get to. You can get a bus that brings you straight to the underground where you can catch the train and then the hotel is about 2 minutes walk away. I loved the fact that there was a really big park opposite the hotel, the area is full of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, with very good/reasonable prices. There was a market every day which was nice. Even though it was busy, I actually found the atmosphere of the area very relaxing and it was helped by the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. Very easy to get around and sight see from the location of the hotel. Our room was facing the road and I did find it a little bit noisy from street cleaning at night but it soon settled and was quiet by 23:30. Daily newspapers were provided and plenty of leaflets of places to go and things to do. Fantastic Vietnamese street food a couple of doors away, spotted by how busy it is. When I go back to Berlin I will stay at this hotel again without a second thought. I highly recommend it for social/business, couples/families and friends, and also for the LGBT community alike. This is what made the hotel and area very special for me.

The hotel is close to the metro, in an urban area with a large park, a supermarket just opposite the building, and a nice neighborhood with restaurants and cafes. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
