Clean, super good location in the city and easy access with public transportation, very nice outdoor space with a little amphitheater and tables and chairs surrounded by greenery, breakfast included with a fairly good amount of food choice

This is a huge hostel. Therefore, despite the fact it was crowded, it was difficult for a solo traveller to socialize with all the different groups. One group is the families with kids or teenage children minding their own business. The other group is the bunch of annoying teenagers travelling like in a school trip, also minding their own business among them and doing what they do best: making a lot of noise and annoying other people. Then, there was a handful of solo travellers minding their own business either on their phone or computer. Apart from paying for accommodation, the hostel doesn't take credit card to pay for food or at the bar. Renting a towel was 4 euros. Are you kidding me? The beds were not comfortable at all. The next morning I felt my body like if I was run over by a truck. Then, at check in they asked me if I was a member. A member of what? Because I wasn't, I had to pay 3.50 euros extra per night. I don't know if this was mentioned in booking.com but I didn't like the way they did this, like a very sneaky way to charge more. Then, they gave me a card with 2 stamps for 2 nights stay. After completing, 5 or 6 I was told I won't pay the extra 3.50 euros anymore. There were good things as I mentioned, but if I have to give an overall rating and compare my experience with other hostels in Germany, this one was the worst for me.

The hostel is in a privileged location in Hamburg with a nice view of the harbour. The breakfast was included and was good. The facilities were clean in general.

I paid EXTRA €8 for the hostel "membership", it is not mentioned in the description and I wasn't aware of it. if you don't have towel they rent it for €4 euros, that's quite expensive for "renting" a towel. It really surprised me that they don't provide soaps in the bathroom, it's not a topic that you should be stingy..

The food and location is great and the facility is super clean, there is a locker for each person in the room.

The bathroom facilities are very limited. They are perfectly clean and in good condition, but there were only 3 joint shower and toilet cubicles for an entire floor. The WiFi was also a little inconsistent.

The location is absolutely spectacular, with wonderful views of the harbour and a train station and supermarket right outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Not really the hostel fault, but a terrible smell in our dorm - too many smelly feet !! Noisy and disrespectful cohabitants coming in at 3am and switching main lights on, and then snoring all night. Sorry but it was really bad sleep on both nights of my stay. Extra €6 charge because it was a Friday

unfortunately, not kind of hostel that I am used to. There were teenagers who have come with their teachers for a school trip or sth and obviously, it was a bit loud. I was expecting to see more of a traveler-type of hostel.

Despite the teenagers(for my fellow traveler +25 yo friends), It was a lovely hostel, squeaky clean, delicious breakfast, incredible harbor view, super easy access to the metro station just 2 min walk down the stairs. Probably the best price in Hamburg for the quality

Little far from the city centre. Had to put and take out the sheets yourself but with the low price it was still okay.

Me and my friend made two separate reservations and the hostel could still put us in a same room which was really nice! Close to the nightlife and the harbour. Breakfast included and it was basic but good.

Would be nice if they had better pillows and perhaps a curtain that one can manipulate in the bed space for a little more privacy. It would be a PLUS if they had at least hand soap in the bathroom. Towels have a rather high cost if you're there for a night-I'm not sure if the rent is for the stay or for one night. The soap also is a surcharge.

There are diligent people working there, many friendly people staying overnight. Amazing view to the harbour and steps away from the supermarket, shops, restaurants. Spacious place overall, good continental breakfast and comfortable built-in bunked-beds. I liked that despite the rooms are shared, there's a private key to the bedrooms and to your shared room. I also found great that there are lockers for each guest.

It is not a typical hotel or hostel, so you have to be a member of this community or foundation or whatever it is. So there was an unexpected fee (3,5Euro per night as a fee and 1Euro per night culture sth. tax) at check-in as it is not written in booking.com. There was no towel at all, but you can rent it for a fee (4Euro!). You have to make your bed by yourself, quilt cover, pillow case etc. Mattress was thin and pillow was not comfortable. Having toillet&shower in the room means noise in the mornings and late evenings. Because of the weak isolation of the door, you can hear things in the corridor as well, but this is a common problem for me at all hotels, hostels etc.

Hamburg is rather big so i think the location in St. Pauli is good. It is next to the tram station and 5 min away from the river, 10 min away from Reeperbahn etc. Breakfast being included is also not bad although it is continental breakfast. I stayed in a 6-bed room and toilet&shower was inside the room. There is a small locker for all but big enough for a small backpack.

The beds were not very robust, being wooden and squeaky. As someone was climbing above me at night, it was very loud even tho i had earbuds but i could both feel it and hear it (not always he case with more robust bedframes in hostels). Concerning loudness, it would be helpful to have a door that it is not impossible to close quietly. I was disturbed at night many times because i thought it was inconsiderate rommates, but the door just really closes very loudly (smashes) even if you try to stall it. That and combined with snorers, its a guaranteed no-sleep night.

The vegan breakfast option was a nice thing to have and experience. Other hostels should learn from this and dont even get me started about hotels. The staff was nice and helpful. The showers arrangement where you basically have a private toilet and shower all in one to yourself.. super nice because its very much needed. Nice to have locks in the room.
