I was asked upon check in if I would like to leave my visa number in case there were any charges that I wanted to charge directly to the room so I agreed, I had noticed a couple of substantial charges that appeared on my card without my authorization, I asked the receptionist what the charges were for and she replied that they were having issues with the room billing process and assured me that the charges would be removed a couple of days after checking out, the charges have been removed from my credit card but the amounts have not been removed from the balance, I am sure they will be removed eventually.

What’s not to like about the property, super good location with lots of shopping and restaurants near by, zoo located right across the street, the breakfast team were exceptional and the food was as well, the room was spotlessly cleaned every day, front desk staff were also very helpful and accommodating. Had a great stay at this Hotel, hope to return some day as Berlin is also a beautiful city.

Spent a good couple of nights in this hotel. Excellent location, very friendly staff, very clean, nice room and a decent pool - I would highly recommend it. Besides, we got a good deal, it was not very expensive.

Since our last visit the Gin Bar has been moved and plays very loud music. Far too loud for us.

We were upgraded but our room was too far from the lifts for us. The location of the hotel is excellent for our needs. We did not take breakfast at this hotel.

Everything was simply superb, from the friendly and welcoming staff to the bar and restaurant experiences. The rooms are extremely well-appointed, spacious and clean. We loved it!

It was a little pricey as a family of 5 to stay here as I believe only 3 people were allowed to a room, so we had to book 2 rooms and i dont think i saw family room options. But, it was a very nice stay.

Loved that it was across the street from the Zoo and close to both the Zoologicher U Bahn and S Bahn station, so you could get anywhere in the city very easily (if you are there for a couple days, do yourself a favor and get the Berliner Ticket - saves time buying tickets at the stations and you can get discounts at museums and etc). The hotel was extremely clean, my kids LOVED the pool. I did feel bad because the pool seemed to be more like a spa pool, but a lot of kids were in there too. It got a little dicey with older adults trying to do laps in a non lap pool, but it seemed to work itself out -everyone trying to be respectful of one another. Either way, my kids had a blast and met other kids. They swam for at least two hours every day that we were there. We selected this hotel for the pool in the first place, so that made us happy. The pool did get busy though and not a lot of chairs, but if you wait a few minutes, people were usually on their way out and I got a seat every time. Also, we were hesitant to add the breakfast, but I am here to say DO IT. It was the BEST breakfast we’ve had in Europe and we’ve been living in Germany for almost 2 years now. It has a lot of variety as far as cheeses and eggs, breads, muffins, juices, coffees, meats, and etc. There is something for everyone. And the service was very friendly and professional every morning. Also, the convenience of having a full on breakfast buffet every morning took alot of stress out of our morning trying to find a place every day. Highly recommend this property.

Gym is small for a 5 star, and had some broken equipment. Shower had a tendency to leak.

The water in the pool could be warmer. I find it inappropriate to pay additional fees for entering the sauna in this type of hotel.

For a top class hotel, we found the airco rather noisy and surprised that the room safe did not work.

Hotel Palace is in a great location close to Zoo Bahnhofstrasse, the Gedächtniskirche and the Christmas market. The room was very comfortable, the staff very efficient and we enjoyed the wellness area.

The only small minus was whirlpool that was part of a big pool, so water temperature was a bit lower than I expected.

As was traveling with children, our main plan was ZOO. And I think there is no better (closest) hotel to ZOO than this one :) We especially liked breakfast where great offer of food was provided.
