Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThere was a noise coming from ventilation, it was quite irritating and I had to use ear plugs. It’s better not to have any sounds during the night time.
It was clean, the bed and the pillows were comfortable. The staff was friendly, understanding and client-oriented. The location is great. I can’t tell anything about breakfast, because I haven’t booked it.

The staff is incredibly friendly, i stayed here for a concert at Verti music hall, and i only rly had a few hours in my room itself. The check-in process is easy, and the staff is super helpful. The room is way bigger than i expected and is really nice and clean. During the queueing for the concert the staff was really welcoming to my friends using their public bathroom and were not hard on me for letting them into my room later on as well. They even let us stay in the lobby for a few hours since the cold was horrible and we didn't need to stay out there during the entire queueing process. The staff was really really kind, and even let my friends who weren't staying in the hotel use their luggage space (and were easy on my friend who lost her luggage card...). If i ever have to visit verti music hall or mercedez benz plaza again, i'd use this hotel every single time.

GermanyThe shower could have been cleaner, I think it could use an anti-scale treatment. Sadly, the room was facing a site operated by the BSR, so it was a little loud, especially in the morning, even with the windows closed.
Very spacious room with lots of space to store your things, we didn't need it, but that's a big plus for business travelers and people staying for a longer period of time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

IsraelRelatively pricy. Very weak WIFI signal in my room, unusable for work/Zoom (!!!), had to use mobile. No mini-fridge in the room (which I took for granted). Street noise audible in the room, and steps in the corridor and doors slamming very audible in the room. I asked specifically for a room with a work desk, I got a room with a small round table which is much less convenient for laptop work, and also had an uncomfortable chair.
The room was very clean and elegant. Location near the train station is very good. Very easy to reach from the airport using the S9 train, and very easy access to the center of Berlin
