Very nice and cozy apartments. There are all the necessary tableware for cooking and even a coffee machine. The castles are very close, Neuschwanstein is visible from the courtyard. Quiet place, near the forest. You can check in at any time.

It would be a good idea maybe to try another washing product for the towels.

Everything was perfect. Nice and warm welcome with Ingrid, it’s quiet and cosy, bed very comfortable, super clean and clear instructions. Parking very convenient and we could walk to everywhere. Nice hikes too. Thanks for everything 🙏 these nights were a dream.

It’s an older property, so it can’t be helped that the floor boards creak. Didn’t affect me, but if you’re a bigger person or heavy footed it may sound loud.

Loved the rustic, cozy feeling of the property. It was great having a kitchen in the room to cook for my wife. It was very easy to walk down to the nearest bus stop and travel to the castles, Füßen, and other locations.

There was no living room so we all hung out in our bedroom for breakfast etc.

Very convenient location. There was a walking path all the way to the base of Newaynstein Castle. Also we had private parking. The host gave us tickets to ride the buses for free and other discounts.

Maybe they could lower the price a little in order to be more representative of what is offered in total regarding the amenities.

The location was exactly between everything. Easy to go to Fussen and easy to get to the castles, but most important was the fact that you can go by foot and reach your destination very easy.

We had a nice apartment with kitchenette and living / bedroom and two balconies. It was perfect. Bed large an comfortable, the bathroom very fine and clean - the whole apartment was very clean. The kitchen was very well equiped. There is a lovely garden around the house and plenty of space for the car. The house is very close to the two castles so one do not need to use the car when visiting and the price for a days parking is rather expencive. The host of Alpenrose is very, very kind and imformative.

Unlike the more well known Fussen, this place in Swangau is more quiet and is actually closer to the renowned destinations of Neuschwanstein & Hohenswangau. In fact, the later is in view from our room, and the latter can be seen if we just go outside of our hotel. They are actually within walking distance. If public transportation is needed, bus stops in both directions are quite near, and so it is not too much a problem, although you have to check the timetable for the right time to catch a bus. Even though this place does not have a restaurant, there are restaurants nearby.

Very polite and kind lady owner. Superb location 20 minutes walk to the castles ticket center. Very clean and tidy room with everything you need for your stay. Balcony with table and chairs. View of Hohenschwanstein Castle. A very nice place to stay.

The unexpected charge of 20 Euros if we used the kitchen facilities. We were unaware of them when we booked the room. Happily not charged as we got there late at night and left early in the morning.

Hosts expectations clear for a mutual financial arrangements. Close to the Castles we were going to visit. Cute house that fit the area. Easy check-in and out. Beds comfy and amenities available if we needed to use them.

Very beautiful apartment in lovely location of Schwangau, both castles and the lakes are walking distance from the house. Perfect for vacation all year around. Super cozy and perfectly clean, lovely host. Highly recommended!

…their whole approach is a bit arrogant. Firstly: the messages in the apartment are absolutely ridiculous. The “this is not a hotel, this is an apartment” attitude is dreadful, it gives an impression that you are not welcome and you also have to throw out the garbage yourself (not that this is too much for me to do but I literally paid for a service of renting a room on my holiday, not a room for me to live in indefinitely). Secondly: the check-out is horrible. Because they don’t accept prepayment, you have to pay at the property and that is only possible between 9am and 10am (we basically had to be at highline187 at 8:00, make a quick visit there and rush back just so we could catch the staff before they left). I get that they don’t want to be there the whole day, but one hour window is not enough.

Clean and neat, the location is excellent, also the keybox for the check-in is great. Staff is also friendly, but….

We have stayed here at this location multiple times. The hosts are great, the location is perfect and the garden is also very nice. Breakfast is good.
