Bad smel in the bathroom, we leaved the hotel 2 days before because of a personal problem rhey didnt wanated to cancel our stay for these 2 days so we had to pay, staff of reception not friendly at all

Restaurant. Overprized, slow service. Just one motivated staff for everything: orders, serving, reception, phone-calls... (the funny bit: the bin on car-park full of Mc-Donalds paper and beer-cans from somewhere else...)

This review is about our hotel-room: very good, big, in the old main building. comfort plus, everything okay. Pricing is self-confident. Nice landscape, park-style, in the middle of nothing. Thumbs up!

Be aware that the capacity of the restaurant is limited. There are several kilometers to the nearest restaurants. Also if you want to hit the road early be aware that breakfast is not served before 7 am all days except 7:30 am Sunday. There is no lift, so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs yourself.

The hotel is situated close to the motorway but still very secluded in the middle of a small forest where the only noise is a faint trickle from the small creek running nearby or birds tweeting. However, during summertime the outside guests may be heard, too. We stayed in a small suite situated in the newer part of the complex, very modern and well equipped. Breakfast was very good with a rich selection.

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is located in a quiet and clean green area, but not far from the motorway. The on-site parking facility was very convenient. The hotel's territory is beautiful and the landscape around is picturesque. The hotel architecture combines the traditional and modern styles. We liked the design of the spacious and quiet rooms with comfortable beds and equipped bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of different meals. The communication with the hotel staff was smooth. We are very thankful to the polite staff who welcomed us to the hotel on our arrival in the evening and helped us with our requests!

As our room was in the attic and the weather was hot, we would have appreciated a mini-fridge for a supply of cold drinks.

Staying at this historical hotel was a joy. In a wooded valley in a farming area, it was only a 25 minutes drive into Cologne so perfect for our overnight stay to attrnd a concert in the city. The staff were welcoming, helpful and interested in our enjoyment. The rooms are modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beautiful grounds are perfect for a stroll or a dip in the small pool. The restaurant is good with some excellent German wines. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. I would be happy to stay here again. As the restaurant was closed for lunch when we arrived, we were recommend a local farm-based restaurant, ThomasHof, which had a sunny terrace, delicious food and a great farm shop.

i was early up (before 0600) to be able to be on route before 6:30 which was important to me. Was in the respetion 6:20 The receptionist was not qualified to check me out and made me wait more than 20 minutes before suggesting that I could pay via factor sent in mail so with frustration having had to wait much to long I left the site without having payed Later the day I received a mail with bill. This was fully written in German and no info on bank details I had to contact the hotel again for IBAN nr and info to be able to check out . There must be an easier way to check out early, and the info sent to foreigners should be in English and completed with all details so we don't have to spend all this unnecessary work and time on an easy thing as check out and pay
