Hotel took a little finding but once we were there the location was excellent for our needs. We enjoyed everything about the stay, including the restaurant recommended for dinner (part of the same group).

- The parking is a short walk away from the hotel, but loading can done direct in front of the hotel. - We cannot complain about anything as there is nothing to complain.

Fantastic location. Right in the center of town over their own restaurant where they served breakfast. Beautifully renovated. For all of this, I was surprised that the price was a low as I found it to be.

There were pigeons on my window sill that were a bit loud, I could also hear the people in the hall. I had earplugs, though, so everything was fine.

There was no kettle in the room, sometimes you want to make a hot drink right in the room. At night we could hear a noisy neighbor through the emergency door.

Parking difficult and expensive. One needs to use the parking space reserved by the hotel.

Fabulously stylish hotel. All newly refurbished and to a very high standard. Excellent Italian restaurant downstairs with genuine Italian food of very good quality. In walking distance to all the major sights.

Both staff members I spoke with were delightful. The room was beautiful. The welcoming fruit was much appreciated. The location was perfect. Weimar itself is a beautiful and interesting town. I wish I'd booked for longer.

Internet connection was basically non-existent (which also effected TV). This was explained with problems with current provider, which should be resolved in the next weeks. If this indeed gets fixed quickly, there is no stopping point at all to stay at the Grande Albergo Giancarlo.

Not the usual hotel, each room is different in style; very spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. Centrally located, close to the main points of interest and in walking distance to the next bus stop.

No air condition. It was too hot in our stay. Breadfast was not worth. We left on a Monday. Despite being told breakfast would work as usual, things were not prepared (no sausages or cheese, etc available). Thanks god, at least, we got asked if we wanted something warm (coffee). We were quite disappointed with breakfasr in general considering this being a 4 star hotel.

Cozy room. Plenty of fuit was left on the first day. Water was for free. Room was huge. Bed very comfortable.

The parking garage was 2 blocks away and over bumpy cobblestone streets. When you drive in that is a little bit of a challenge. We also had to carry a very bulky key around to be able to get into the property and our room.

The room was great and the shower was the best we had had on our trip. The hotel was really in the middle of everything in Weimar. The staff was excellent and responsive.

Not a big issue since alternatives nearby, but breakfast was not available on the property. Beware, Weimar's museums and most things worth visiting are closed on Mondays.

Friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms with lots of attention paid to decoration. Not the usual room in this respect. Walking distance from the city center.

Reception is not 24-hrs (to note: please arrive before 6pm), and we could not get parking (limited space only. Had to find on-street meter-parking about 5-10 mins walk away).

Impressed with the size of the room, decor and location of the hotel, helpful receptionist. Good value, spotless room, underfloor heating.
