Hohenschwangau seems to run on castle time. Once castle tours end, the town shuts down. So if you're looking for food/drink, better do it before 1800 or you're driving to Fussen.

The location is hard to beat right near the center and easy walk to all locations. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The beds were top notch comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this location

I informed them months prior that I would be arriving by car and they said there was free parking. However, a few days prior they informed me there would be a 5 euros parking fee.

I had a little trouble getting in via the intercom, but the 'voice' on the other end helped me along. The room had no TV, but that was ok to me. I don't recall searching, or requesting it either. Bathroom was a little small, but enough for my meager needs. Could have used an elevator .... I'm getting older now, but it was not a problem, but in the not-to-distant future, it may be.

Breakfast was nice; I don't eat much, but there seemed enough for anyone who does :) ! Liked the 'view' of Newschwanstein, such as it was, not very close, but what can one expect from any distant view. Unit 4 I believe -a view room. Good value for one evening - clean, quiet.

We did not meet the hotel staff until the breakfast the next morning. There was a locked key box system to get the room key which makes me nervous due to a previous bad experience, although this one worked out fine.

Location! This property is less than a 10 minute walk from the meeting point of our Skip the Line tour. The hotel permitted us to leave our car parked at the hotel until our morning tour was over, which was very convenient. Breakfast was very good as well. We had a patio room, from which you could see the Castle lit up for nighttime.

Slightly impersonal feel to the place. No staff on duty until breakfast the morning after my afternoon arrival. No covered parking for motorbikes.

Perfect location for visiting Hohenschwangau Castle. Close to restaurants. Good breakfast. Small room in Annexe but it had everything you need. Clear texted information about how to use key lock system on arrival.

the internet signal was a bit patchy at times, and the rooms are a little dated but had everything you need to spend a night!

The location was amazing. No need to pay parking to visit the castle and it’s close to everything. The breakfast was also superb. Lots of variety and fresh! The price ratio performance is great!!

Walking distance from Neuschwanstein Castle. Rooms are basic but comfortable. They allowed me to leave my car parked on their premises for the entire day on the day of checkout.

The layout of the room was a bit strange with the twin beds lined up against the wall; however, we were not there for a long term stay - just the night. For that the room was perfect.

Location was in the heart of the town and within walking distance of the information center and buses for the tour of Neuschwanstein. You could see the castle from the property.

The pin number didn't get sent out until after the arrival, bu was easily sorted by phoning the number provided and the nice lady talked me through. no tea/coffee facilities in the room

Clean and comfortable, ground floor so easily assessable. Nice room, not overly fussy, close to the center, breakfast was good and had a few options, could do with a special coffee machine to boost.

The only disadvantage was the absence of a hair dryer. I would recommend installing one in the future.

I am vegan. I was offered vegan cheese and sausages, which is very nice of them to do. They bought everything at my request. This is so sweet!
