Beautiful location, lovely building and furnishings. Breakfast was ⭐️spectacular⭐️and Frau Isolde and Herr Georg were just so welcoming and helpful. Secured bike garages were great, and we could easily keep the e-bikes safe and charged.

The welcome was very warm. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with such a great choice and the freshly cooked scrambled eggs. There was lots of information provided on places to visit and eat. There was a kettle and tea and coffee provided in the room with plates, glasses and cups and saucers. We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a place the couple running it were lovely and we have no hesitation in recommending this place for a fantastic peaceful and comfortable stay.

Only a few minor things that could be better: - when turning the TV on it sets itself to a high volume by default (just something that needs to be changed in the settings) - the walls could use a bit of extra sound padding, since you could occasionally hear the TV from the room next door (very minor inconvenience)

Amazing location with a great view over the Alps. It is close to the Chimsee, but far enough away from the city that you have peace and quiet. The rooms were spotless clean and felt very cozy. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen and served with a lot of care. The owners ensure that you feel comfortable and have the best stay possible. Overall 10/10 and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Bavaria.

Honestly can’t think of anything.

Everything. The location was great - close to Chiemsee and lots of attractions, in a peaceful and quiet town, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The Mountain view from the private balcony was amazing. The area is perfect for getting around by bike and there are loads of things to do and an impressive selection of restaurants. The owners and staff were extremely attentive and helpful, and at no time invasive. At breakfast they took time to speak with everyone for a few minutes, offering their advice on things to see and do in the area. One of the days it was raining, and when we arrived at breakfast they had already printed a list of things to do for all guests. Everything was well organized and clean. They had thought of every little detail. The room was big and had everything you need. The beds were comfortable and there were different sizes of pillows. We had a pleasant stay and came back home relaxed, which was the whole scope of our vacation.

We thought it might be a bit out of town, but actually it’s not that far. Being just out of town in the countryside we were away from all the hassle and bustle in town and had a great view down to lake Chiemsee.

After traveling for two months in Austria and Germany and having stayed in numerous hotels and pensions I would have to say this was our most favourite. The hosts were the most welcoming, friendly and convivial of all the one’s we have stayed with. The breakfast was superb and the facilities were great with lovely countryside views.

Can't think of anything.

Our hosts bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The included breakfast was beyond outstanding. They also even started breakfast early one day so we could catch our train for a day trip to Salzburg. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and a good size and the view from the balcony was awesome. Several unexpected bonus items appeared during the stay as well (a free drink, chocolates, some fruit). It was quiet at night but close enough to Prien. They were friendly and tried to get to know us as if we were guests in their home. I cannot stress enough how hard our hosts worked every day to make our visit the best it could be. I would never think of staying anywhere else when in the Chiemsee area.

We stayed in a pick time when all the rooms were booked so you’d have to arrive early to make sure there is a parking place left for your car. But that’s not a big problem, it’s possible to park in a surrounding area.

The owner of the hotel is very sweet and welcoming, we felt a personal touch in what they do. We also had a nice mountain view from our balcony. The breakfast was superb.

Noise due to church bells nearby

There is a lot to recommend this place, but I personally would not go back for one reason: it is very close to a church which rings it's bell EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES ALL NIGHT LONG. And on the hour, it rings four times PLUS the number of the hour. So, at midnight, it's 4 + 12 rings. Now, if you close your window tightly, and if you are a heavy sleeper like my wife - no problem! But for me, a light sleeper - I did not get a single good night's sleep there. In fact, we left before our reservation was complete. I repeat: there are many good things about this place, including the breakfast and the fact that the proprietors are VERY nice and helpful. You DO NEED A CAR. There is only ONE place to eat within walking distance - about a 20 min walk.
