Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike although I made the mistake of staying on a Tuesday & Wednesday night, the restaurant is closed on a Monday and a Tuesday, we would have preferred to have eaten in house on both nights, the views are fantastic - in good weather
Its location, access to sample their own wines, the restaurant on site and quality of the breakfast. Finally the lady who looked after us at breakfast and checked us out was amazing and very helpful

United KingdomWhat a fabulous stay! The accommodation was beautiful, with the bonus of a private patio with views over vineyards and the Rhine. The location was perfect for us; we had a very pretty and interesting walk from the accommodation to the abbey, onwards to the Niederwald monument and Assmannshausen. Perhaps the most exceptional feature of Weingut Magdalenenhof was the dining terrace; stunningly appointed with comfortable furniture and those fantastic views. The food and wine were delicious; in fact we bought a couple of boxes of wine while we were there. I would highly recommend Weingut Magdalenenhof.

GermanyThe only drawback is that it is too far from the pier and train station, which is inconvenient for people who walk there. Public transportation is also inconvenient, you need wait for long time.
The food in the hotel is very good, especially the breakfast. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful.

GermanyLoved having a restaurant as part of the hotel so that we could eat dinner in. Breakfast had many options and was well presented. The location of the winery/hotel was right next to the vineyards so you could step outside to explore them or take 20 minutes to walk into Rudesheim. We appreciated having a big parking lot and being able to easily reach the place by car. There is also the possibility of organising wine tastings at their store on site. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Weingut Magdalenenhof and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The rooms were charmingly decorated and exuded a cozy atmosphere. The working facilities were top-notch, allowing me to stay productive during my visit. Upon entering, the wine and liquor shop immediately caught my attention with its diverse selection and fun atmosphere. The restaurant was wonderfully cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations at every meal. And of course, the highlight of my stay was the breathtaking view of the vineyard, which provided a serene backdrop to my time at the Weingut. Overall, I highly recommend Weingut Magdalenenhof for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and culinary delights amidst stunning natural surroundings.

United StatesWe couldn’t have had a better experience - we didn’t want to leave. Without a doubt please book here - you’ll want to wish you could stay longer. We arrived to a charming bed and breakfast and had booked 7 of the 8 rooms. All rooms had wonderful character with three having balconies overlooking the vineyard. Wine was available for purchase - we had happy hour watching the sunset. It was a 20 min walk/3 min drive to the Christmas markets. We returned and capped the night with local wine surrounded by beautiful holiday decor in their restaurant. Breakfast was included and it felt like we were in a magazine. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you to the hosts! We hope to return!

United StatesTruthfully there was little to complain about. It has wonderful staff and surroundings. Very quiet and above the bustle of the town below.
A wonderful place to enjoy the quiet in a vineyard setting, above the town of Rudensheim, GR. Pleasant scenic surroundings with a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was wonderful, as was our dinner.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike, in fact the lady of the house could not be more helpful, whilst parking is plentiful I was on a motorcycle and I was offered the opportunity to park it overnight under a fixed canopy in a private area. What more can one say? Customer service at its best.
Having stayed in the Rudesheim town on a previous visit, this time around I wanted to stay at a winery and the Magdalenenhof did not disappoint. It was exactly what I wanted. Situated outside of the town itself on a south west facing slope it was the perfect location, the sun was out when I arrived and the evening stayed warm and bright until after 9pm. Upon checking in the lady of the house apologised that I had a small room however i had booked a single room and i was not disappointed, it was warm bright and airy with a very good private bathroom. I took dinner on the open patio and sat for over 3 hours enjoying the food wine and the beer, the staff were more than happy for me to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and the views over the Rhine valley, looking at the number of diners it is clearly a very popular place to eat. My dinner was good as was breakfast in the morning and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere throughout my stay. I am highly likely to return next year with my wife.
